Food is central to Mexican culture and an integral part of our family. At El Coco Loco Mexican Grill, we take great pride in every meal we serve, rich in both flavor and history, made from recipes that have been passed down from generation to generation. We invite you to come enjoy friendly Mexican hospitality and an extensive variety of dishes derived from different regions of Mexico.
With a full service bar, weekday lunch buffet, and indoor and outdoor seating options, we know your dining experience will be exactly what you are looking for. Come and sip on a Margarita while soaking up some sun on the patio or munch on some guacamole and chips while you watch the game inside.

This restaurant is downtown west Chicago in a beautiful brick building with a large outdoor seating area. The staff was welcoming and the other customers made me feel welcome. I ordered a margarita and it was tasty. For lunch I got Molcajete Tradicional and this was amazing. It was full of beef, chicken and shrimp and a little veggies. For true Mexican food, stop by this place

My family and I have always gone to El Coco Loco, for family lunches, birthdays etc. We religiously ordered from them on Thursdays for $1 tacos when the pandemic hit to try and make sure a fabulous business didn’t go under.
We called in a order tonight for a pick up, so dropped kids off at practice and waited in line to get my order. I stood there for at least 10 mins with no mask on, I watched the woman behind the counter with her mask pulled down under her chin assisting 3 customers who were also not wearing masks properly not to mention some of the other staff.
Once it was my turn to be

This was my second time here with my fiancé. First time around was not a pleasant one and this time around having to experience yet again another unpleasant visit I felt the need to share my thoughts.
When we were seated at our table it was 7:08pm. After 5 minutes have passed I started to look around to see if anyone was coming our way. I saw several waitresses attending to other tables yet no one had came to us. I noticed a table of 2 that had came after us yet they were being attended before us. Their chips & salsa had been already brought out, along with their drinks.

I just walked into this restaurant with my female friend hoping to get some steak tacos she had been looking forward too having. The current temperature was in the mid 80's, hot humid day. I decided to wear sandals shorts and a sleeveless shirt to stay cool, upon entering a older gentleman(most likely the owner) turned me away very disrespectfully.
He pointed at a sign that said "No shirt No shoes No service", I didn't quite understand why I had been denied entry. Especially when there where other clients with similar clothing eating there're food. I guess since He didnt like my appearance
