Services
Niche began its story ten years ago when the historic post office in picturesque downtown Geneva was transformed into a space to bring the community a new source of culinary enlightenment. The response to our quest was well received and encouraged the evolving staff to continually strive for perfection.
You are encouraged to order some or the entire menu, customized to your family's preferences. For our turkey orders we will be using organic, free range, Green Circle turkeys. When you pick up your turkey order you will notice that we have broken it down for you, to minimize your Thanksgiving stress.

Everything was fantastic. The chilly weather cocktail with empress gin was very tasty. I tried frog legs for the first time and they tasted just like chicken but less meaty than a chicken bone and I would order them again. The cheese plate had three very different cheeses which was a nice vararity. I ordered the sword fish and the bone marrow fried rice and their flavors complimented each other well. The espresso martini was delicious and the donuts were so fresh and warm, what a great end to a great meal.

Yes! If you haven't been to Niche is a while, it's changed. Long gone are the white table cloths and stuffy atmosphere. A more down to earth restaurant has emerged with an incredible bourbon selection and outstanding menu items. The charcuterie board is amazing. And the cheesy potato stack melts in your mouth. Located just north of the post office on 3rd, I highly recommend this gem. Outside seating available in back.

Favorite restaurant. Great cocktails, always delicious food, great atmosphere, and always great service. It's new American cuisine. Attended their annual candlelight dinner and it was the Niche experience and then some. The only thing I've ever encountered is sometimes they get too cute with names. For instance, "en croute" means literally "baked in a pastry crust". They used the term to describe a french onion soup with a small biscuit on top when I was expecting more of a thick stew baked inside a pastry crust. That would be like describing a dish as en papillote that was baked on top of a piece

Very cool looking place inside but they cram you in like sardines. And this is not a Covid thing, just tough to enjoy your dinner when your chatting to both tables next to you that are 3ft away.
Food was pretty good. The frog legs have an over powering sauce that doesn't quite go. The cauliflower starter was very tasty and enjoyable.
We both had the special steak dish. It was very tasty and good - really good complementary flavors and very Tender steak...but the steak was cold to luke warm. When we found out the price of $55, we were slightly shocked. Firstly if your special is $20 above all

Small quaint establishment in the heart of Geneva Illinois reminds me of posh places in downtown Chicago sort of a hidden gem. The server was very friendly and efficient tables are very close together but that's part of the charm of this establishment. Very upscale crowd and now to the food. We started with a toast of champagne celebrating my daughter's new job on the house and then we had the warm pretzel side of the cheese sauce excellent. I ordered the steak and the trout which we enjoyed immensely I would recommend establishment the food is excellent enjoy

We had a good experience overall at Niche. Loved the vibe and atmosphere of the place and our server was incredible. The cocktails were fantastic- pictured here is the Pear Pressure and the Home Alone Old Fashioned. Neither of us were overly impressed with our entrees, the Green Circle Farms Half Chicken and the Pan Roasted Swordfish. We will be back, but probably just for the cocktails and wine.

Meal for the gods! I would compare this to Bavettes in Chicago but better! Amazing hidden gem in Geneva!
Steak and fries (I subbed the fries for marbled potatoes)
- Steak melts in your mouth like butter, so much flavor and very tender, medium rare was perfection and I plan on coming back to order this dish again, maybe tomorrow! Paired perfectly with Côtes du Rhône
Octopus appetizer - so much flavor it was served with a pimento tomato sauce and olives with fried manchego cheese croquettes, highly recommend!
Pork shank - another amazing dish so much flavor beautifully crispy on the outside

We had an excellent anniversary dinner. We arrived early, but the hostess was able to seat us right away. Our server chatted us up about our marriage and asked for advice before she offered a toast (what a lovely gesture!). When we ordered a whiskey flight, we didn't have specific bottles in mind and allowed the bartender to craft it -- they kept the price-point reasonable while providing a variety of flavors.
The meal itself was delicious and satisfying and lovingly crafted. I think the sausage tray was my favorite -- the grilled toast was incredible. I know, toast is the simplest thing in the

One of the best menu's/Cook's in the country. From our travels this has been our favorite next to the Villaggio we ate at downtown Del Mar CA in July (reviewed can't beat the beach ambiance there.) This is our third or so visit to Niche & have enjoyed every one always delighted to see a fresh menu. Pictured I had swordfish surrounded by tons of added flavor. The rice was recommended by the waitress & was excellent as was the octopus. Good selection of wine & specialize in whisky cocktails.

I Ordered the ribeye special. My wife ordered the salmon. She enjoyed her dish very much. The service was excellent. Our waitress went above and beyond to make our experience an enjoyable one. But then there was the ribeye... about half of my dish was fat and gristle. Not what I would expected considering the $56 price tag. I mentioned this to the waitress and she agreed it looked to be more fatty then normal. She brought it back to the kitchen and the answer I receive was it is supposed to be that way. Disappointing they didn't try to do something to compensate for a bad piece of meat

Nice place, great atmosphere, very friendly staff. Pop up type menu, great for foodies, really interesting types of small dishes and meals. Tons of high end liquors and beers, plus craft cocktails. Service was super slow (waited about 20-25 minutes before we put in our food order (drinks came right away)) at first but got better once we did put in the order. Food higher end and expensive, but you get what you pay for, and it was really good.

Another checklist spot marked off tonight and it was great. As always shareables were a must. Huge whiskey, bourbon list and a few good craft brew options. Service was great and food came out pretty quick. The corn soup was delish but for 9 bucks I expected a little more. The Brussel sprouts and Mussells were fantastic. Sausage links were tasty and served with pickles, mustard and garlic bread. Again, a little over priced but it was a good amount of food. The entree options looked great but didn't try any. Guess I'll have to come back for round 2.

Simply amazed with this place. Usually when you go to a restaurant there are several aspects that they don't get right, may it be the food, ambience, or service, etc..
Based on my wife and I's personal experience, they were all fantastic. Ambience was great, food was excellent, and Our server Melissa was awesome! Will be coming here again soon!

As usual, Niche excels at everything... from the moment you walk in the door and the wonderful host saying happy anniversary to the champagne as we sat! I don't know what is better, the people who work at satisfying your culinary needs or the food itself. Vinny is an excellent example of what a General Manager should be. Chris was the Chef for this evening and surprised us with an awesome "extra" appetizer and dessert! Our server, Steve was fantastic and very professional, he had great recommendations and showed us the utmost attention at the perfect times.

We recently moved to Geneva and wanted to pick a local spot to celebrate for our 1 year wedding anniversary. This place was the perfect spot! It was romantic & nice without being over the top. We will be back here for sure!
Food 4/5 - We ordered the Tender Broccoli Florets as a starter. We joked that we never knew broccoli could be so delicious! Topped with crispy bacon, fried shallots, and a sriracha aioli this was delicious! Entree's - my husband ordered the 1/2 Amish Chicken and I ordered the Serrano Wrapped Monkfish. The food was beautifully plated! Only slight critiques - my husband

Cool joint. Look, there are more than enough extensive reviews here that cover everything they serve, and how good everything is. In my one stop, I had the burger which was quite tasty. The thing that impressed me most about Niche was their beer and whiskey menus. Both are top-notch and include brands that you've likely never heard of, and might not find elsewhere. Small, quaint place. I suspect I'll be back. Cheers!

THIS PLACE Holy cow. Niche far exceeded our expectations!
My husband and I visited for my birthday, and I was so surprised when the server greeted us with champagne for the occasion - what a great touch! To make it even more amazing, the champagne was fantastic!
We ordered wine, the sausage board, fried chicken, and the pork tenderloin - all of which were UNREAL! I swear I could eat that sausage board every day of my life haha
Our server was phenomenal, and the ambience feels as if you are at a trendy restaurant in the city. Such a cool place! Can't wait to go back!

This restaurant has been on my list for awhile to try so I'm glad we finally made it!
I liked the overall decor but thought the seating was tight. I don't like when I can so easily hear the conversations of the people to the right and left of me. I also had barely any room to get into my chair. I know with a smaller space you have to put the tables closer together and they were completely busy. Service was great.
To drink I had something with "Indian" in the name. It had pineapple, rum, and habanero bitters. It was made well but wasn't for me. It only had a little bit

From August 7th -
Our second visit was just as good as the first. Every single thing we have ordered here has been outstanding!
We started with Very Old Fashioned's - very expensive but probably the best "brown" cocktail I have ever had. It was smooth, rich and well-balanced. My steam buns and my husband's burger were so flavorful and it will be hard to try something new the next time, although the Loch Duarte Salmon on my first visit was fantastic.
Compliments to the chef and the well-trained staff.

I went to Niche for my birthday. It has been on my to try list on Yelp for awhile. I thought it held up pretty nicely.
I love the ambiance. The bar has nice backlighting that isn't too sharp creating a warm, homey feel. I also like the set up of the tables. I have a broken foot and needed to come in on crutches. Even though the tables were next to each other, there was enough space to accommodate my crutches without getting in the way which I really appreciate.

Honest review: one of my favorite places to eat in the suburbs. Ambiance its cute, but dont get all the bulls though dont think it fits with fine dinning. Service is good, depending on who you get. The male server jeffry is amazing kind hospitable and so nice really goes above and beyond. Food: foods good but can be tweaked a lil. 1: food has to be hot 2: bring back the duck leg dish it was amazing i love when this place does unique things then it really excels like the steam bun dish really flavorful and unique keep that up. 3 some dishes need less components n they would taste better like the
