The Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Management Education (CAHME) serves the public by advancing the quality of healthcare management education globally. CAHME is an interdisciplinary group of educational, professional, clinical, and other health sector organizations devoted to quality improvement of education for healthcare management and administration professionals.
Since 1968, CAHME accreditation defined the standards for healthcare management education for the world community. 129 programs are CAHME accredited. Students selecting CAHME accredited programs are assured of attending programs that have met the high standards and criteria defined by leading academics and practitioners. Choosing a CAHME Accredited program also provides increased flexibility to students, as CAHME programs may have a reciprocal policy of granting credit for a class hours to students who transfer in from other CAHME accredited programs.

Programs with CAHME accreditation benefit from participating in a quality improvement process with participation from leading academics and practitioners. It does this through site visits, boot camps, enhanced benchmarking, and mentorship activities. CAHME provides students access to materials such as Modern Healthcare and AHA's Personal Membership groups at no cost.
