Potomac Home Health Care (PHHC) is a non-profit joint venture of Sibley Memorial Hospital and Suburban Hospital (both Johns Hopkins Medicine). Phhc is a full service, medicare certified home health agency providing a comprehensive range of home care services in Maryland and Washington, DC. Working within a team approach, we make every attempt to recognize and meet the needs of the homebound patient.

Services
The registered nurse performs a comprehensive nursing assessment, develops a plan of care and coordinates care with the physician and other team members. The nurse performs nursing procedures and assists patients and caregivers to become independent in care by instructing them in disease process, medications, and symptom management.
Potomac Home Support Inc. (PHS), a private duty agency, is a sister company to Potomac Home Health Care, and a service of Sibley Memorial and Suburban Hospitals. PHS is a non-profit company providing private pay services. These services include: homemakers/housekeepers, sitters/companions, live-ins, certified Home Care Aides, and Geriatric Care Assistants transportation assistance.

If there was an option to give a minus zero review I would! This was by far the worst experience that I have ever had with a company that is supposed to help the elderly!!! I called two weeks ago to set up home health visits and possibly pt and ot sessions.
I spoke with Jan the intake receptionist who was extremely rude in her tone and very ignorant and needs major training in customer service etiquette. My sister called and our doctor's office for my mom called per jan's request to speak with someone about starting this process. My sister spoke with a Diane, another intake worker that

Potomac Home Health Care is affiliated with both Johns Hopkins and Suburban Hospital, so I would have expected it to be good. It was not. When I was in the hospital, I needed some aides in addition to the hospital staff. The aides they sent were sometimes lacking in intelligence, sometimes not courteous or respectful. Once someone simply didn't show up for a shift, and PHHC said, "Well, it's a holiday, we can't get anyone else." The outfit was actually, really bad, astonishingly so. I would recommend Comfort Keepers of Rockville, which provided not just better people
