Located in Asbury Park, DJ'S sets the precedent for local dining, while remaining a welcoming destination for our summer visitors. DJ graduated from one of the top culinary institutes in New York. He served as Executive Chef at the Flo Jean Restaurant for many years. He re-located to New Jersey in 1998 and decided to take a career in the medical field working as a Quality Control Specialist.
During this time he started a catering business on the side. After some time his catering business exploded and he decided to leave the medical field and once again pursue his true passion. In 2010 DJ took his love for food and attention to detail and opened DJ's Delights in beautiful downtown Asbury Park.

DJ's Delights lives up to their name EVERY SINGLE TIME! Their sandwiches and salads are always fresh, made with high-quality ingredients, and always very flavorful. My personal favorites are their Chili (award winning!) and Chicken Delight sandwich. The only thing better than their food is their service. The owner is someone who will get to know his customers on a first-name basis, treat you like family, and always greet you with a smile. Their lunch specials are unbeatable. Half a sandwich, a cup of soup or a side salad, AND a drink -- for under $10??? If you're looking for fresh, affordable,

My friends and I attended a wedding the night before, and were in desperate need of a breakfast sandwich. DJ's delights, was just as its namesake would suggest, delightful! Our sandwiches were tasty and we could not have had better service. We had DJ himself! He was super knowledgeable about every product, and each one had a story to tell.
We also were sitting outside, and he even came out to check on us. What a super star!
Would recommend if you want some quick, tasty food made with care.

I had stopped in middle of the week had a breakfast was happy with my egg white omelet platter with spinach and potatoes ... so I figured I go this am and bring my husband and friend from out of town well we were seriously disappointed. The waitress had no personality One of the breakfast entrées did not come out altogether the eggs were flat my tomatoes and onions weren't cooked in my omelette pancakes were not cooked all the way through very very disappointed and after I told them that it wasn't good I didn't even give me a discount so I honestly will not be returning sorry dj

Had a Christmas party catered from DJ's. We had trays of Chicken Parm. Eggplant Parm, Cavatelli with Broccoli, Penne alla Vodka, Stuffed Flounder, Baked Salmon, Steamed Veggies, and Chicken Wings.
Everything was phenomenal! Everyone complemented the food. What was left, partygoers we're asking to bring home.
The food isn't the only great thing though...DJ, Ron, Toni, and the rest of the staff are friendly, helpful, and take great pride in their work.
Oh, and I might also add that we dropped our order on them LESS than a week before Christmas!
If you are in Asbury and get a chance

Came here with friends for a simple breakfast. The restaurant itself is very cute with wooden tables and chairs and some booths. The decor had a nice "asbury" vibe with some cool kitschy pieces scattered throughout. We were greeted when we arrived and told we could sit wherever. The service was good, and the waitress checked in on our table a few times. We ordered the pancakes, two breakfast sandwiches, and an omelette. Everything was timely and delicious. Again, you have to hold the expectation that this is a simple breakfast joint and I don't think you will be disappointed

WORST experience. dj's was my niece's and my favorite breakfast spot... until today. walked in at 9:45 am... only 2 - 3 tables occupied at the time. put our order in -- two breakfast sandwiches and one waffle... 30 minutes in, still no food. watched people come in, eat and go around us... 45 mins later, nothing. at this point, i told our waitress to pack up our food when it was ready, because we needed to leave and be somewhere... without so much as an "i'm sorry"... even after pointing out that customers who were seated after us got their food in a timely manner,

OMG, I feel like this is OUR place. We come here all the time.....there's a sandwich, which I do NOT eat anymore (lost 50 pounds recently) and it's called the BELLYBUSTER....it is SO good......turkey eggs cheese hashbrowns on a bun....delicious...and then I get an order of sweet potato fries! Amazing......it's what local business is all about! Love it.

I have lived in AP for 3 years and just found this gem for weekend brunch. My husband wanted something different so we popped in and boy were we happy. He got the Buffalo chicken and a side of the chilli and cheese fries, which he loved. I got an omelet and home fries with rye toast! Everything was delish! Our waiter was super friendly and helped with our selections.
It was so good that we went back the next weekend and the same fabulousness repeated itself.

I was pleasantly surprised that they had gluten free bread! We went in for a causal lunch and the nice chef came out to talk to me since they had run out of shrimp and wanted to know what I wanted. I told her to surprise me and boy did she ever! I had an open faced beef and cheddar with grilled veggies it was delicious!
Absolutely incredible service too! I should of asked his name but forgot.

Best restaurant I have been to in Asbury. The food is amazing, the atmosphere is warm and welcoming and the service is very attentive. Went here twice in the same day for lunch and dinner. Best panini I have ever had. The dinner menu is small but varied and has been well thought out. The restaurant side is open later during the summer. I'll be back soon...maybe tomorrow. Thank you DJ and staff.

Everything is excellent.... Except for the coffee. It tastes like the maxwell house that grandma makes in her 30 year old coffee maker. Change your coffee and you'll be a rival to all the breakfast hotspots in AP!
Also, one particular waitress is really really REALLY loud when talking to other employees about her personal life. This might be ok when the DJ's is packed, but when there are only a couple of tables and I can barely hear the person across from me speaking because she is practically yelling about what she did last night and how many drinks she had, it kind of makes me want

I've been here so many times and it is usually really great, except for the last 2 times. I think there is a new waitress and she wasn't that attentive to our table at all. We had to get up and ask for water, we had to get up and ask for more coffee, and she just didn't get it. She didn't have an off day because the last time I was there she did the same exact thing. The owner and chef is super nice we know him by name and face. He is really great! The food is usually superb (the last 2 times it wasn't that great, I have to admit). Man, I think I've come here for breakfast

If it's a delight to wait for 30 minutes for your food in a half full restaurant, then definitely put Dj's on your list. We were looking for an alternative to toast which is always packed and also has glacial service. Unfortunately Dj's doesn't make the bucket list. Food was ok. Nothing terribly special. Wait staff was apologetic but basically said that food comes out of one kitchen in the deli so therefore we were behind a queue of takeout and delivery.
Next door is kinda cute as a convenience store but not worth a special trip.
