Just finished my walk at sandy hook and I stopped here for lunch. Nice place, a little chilly inside ( they were installing new cable, left doors open no worries).
It was early as well. I ordered the Monk fish platter and the cheese cake ( bought were absolutely delicious). I couldn't believe that cheesecake taste like that ( the best ). The service was great, bartender was very cool ( she suggested the cheesecake 😋). An absolute must for great food. 👍👍👍👍👍.

Generous with the 3 stars.. This place has a fantastic location and is quite comfortable... That's the end of the "pros".
The service was hurried and indifferent (sure only one drink is wanted right...), drinks are alright. Clams casino were a burnt mess. Seafood parpadelle had a great description and fit that description in ingredients only. Ordered with the fra diavolo, it was bland and watery with way overdone seafood. Mussels and soup were decent. Apple cake was underwhelming at best.. Don't be fooled by a pretty face, there are definitely way better options in the area..

What a disappointment. First off all members of my party had the same thing walking through the door. Two workers, One young girl and one man in his 30’s just standing there with no greeting and appeared like we were putting them out of there way.
As we followed to outdoor seating my 3 girls were all commenting how they did feel welcome at all and we thought maybe she was having a bad day and everyone just acted so thankful. After thanking for the table we got a blank stare.
Server Jamie was pretty good and received a 20% tip. Price was to high for quality of food.

We stopped coming here a while back because it wasn't very good but the pandemic has made Charley's a better restaurant than it was before. Food is much better and the drinks are very generous. The staff have always been charming and helpful. 5 stars for them.
I had Sea bass puttanesca and my girlfriend had salmon Thai coconut. The puttanesca was very good but there were still some bones in my fish. The salmon was good but not great. The drinks were generous and tasty. while there are better places to eat in the area (with higher prices), it's not a bad place to just kick back, have a nice drink

This is a place has a good beachy vibe. During the summer months you can sit outside and have beautiful view of the ocean.The inside is also really nice and cozy.
Great variety of food choices. From a burger to steak/seafood and pasta. It is not too far from the pier in long branch. And you won't have to deal with parking. Since they have their own lot.
Will be back again.
