Avenue is one of those places I had heard of but never experienced. The location couldn't be better and the views are incredible. They also have an event space on the 2nd floor that you can rent out. Seems like they book up a lot. The place is pricey probably because of location and decor. The menu has a wide range of items and even had specials depending on the day of the week. I came on a sunday so I had this sausage with sauerkraut dish that was delicious. The boudin blanc had great flavor and it was perfectly complimented by the acidity of the kraut. I went simple with the burger

Still lovely with fine bar but potato side dish not fully cooked and passionflower ice cream Parr of dessert was salty. They kept running out of silverware tho restaurant not full and we were at early prefixe New Year's Eve dinner. Wait person was pleasant and tried to keep up.
I hope it manages to stay open and return to its normal state of wonderful.

This "restaurant" is an impertinence. We went there for brunch. Lobster Roll and Avenue Breakfast. Total price with a coffee (without second cup): 61.83
The Lobster Roll had maybe for a dollar Lobster ( it was the worst Lobster Roll we have ever gotten), the salad was okay, the bun also.
The Avenue Breakfast: three eggs (sunny side up) were almost raw and even the whites were runny. One slice of toast (no butter) and a few greasy potato cubes. Two small chicken sausages (value of goods: maybe 2.50).
The waiter Thomas Bastion didn't even care about our complaint. He shrugged and

Beautiful interior and view of you sit out back. The octopus was really good. One of the best octopus apps we’ve had. The ousters were ok. We got the paella for two. Seemed a bit overpriced at $85. The chorizo made it really salty at times too. I love chorizo but never had it as salty as it was in this dish. Feel like Avenue has taken a step backwards but that could be because of pandemic challenges so giving them a bit of the benefit of the doubt.

If you can manage to ignore the evening hostess’ rudeness you’re in for a really nice treat. The french menu is very well put and everything is delicious, I’ve almost tried all of it. The wine list is just splendid. If you want to have the best dining experience ever, just get a table outside between 4 and sunset and enjoy the infinite view of the ocean and the smell of the beach.

Very unfortunate that a restaurant with the nice interior design and atmosphere can not live up to the same standard In terms of quality of food and service.
Service is vey slow because writers/waitresses not only take your order but are responsible for responsibilities usually delegated to busboys at other upscale/higher end dining places. Forks and knifes are not changed between courses either.
Sad part about food is that it is under-seasoned and bland. Kitchen does not know what a medium rare steak looks like… my steak came out rare and the waitress said that this is what chef’s preparation

My husband and I had the pleasure of eating at this establishment for our "date night"...and from start to finish, it was nothing short of spectacular!
The restaurant is beautifully decorated and overlooks the beach/ocean...it's soft orange and tan tones are accentuated with lovely high ceilings and soft lighting...
My husband and I both ordered the endive salad, which was perfectly plated, fresh and lightly dressed...the apples and grapes were perfectly paired with the endives... overall, it was something that we would definitely order again and again.

I ate here for brunch on Father’s Day and had an excellent experience. My server, Richard, was friendly, courteous and attentive. There was not a moment during the meal where I felt like my table went unnoticed - waters were constantly being refilled and Richard stopped by multiple times to check on the food. Food was delicious with elegant presentation. The view of the beach was also very nice - the outside seating area has direct access via some stairs!

The perfect brunch spot! We sat outside on the terrace directly overlooking the beach. Gorgeous view, attentive service, and yummy brunch food. My dad got the tuna salad sandwich which was so fresh. And my sister got the burger which she said was amazing. I got the Croque Madame which really hit the spot after a long day of walking the boardwalk. The ham was so good, very hardy thick bread, perfectly cooked egg and cake w a small side salad. I would definitely come back to try dinner.

8:30 reservation and seated after 9. Very busy place but the outside dining on the water is very nice.
Oddly, our food arrived BEFORE our drinks.
Ordered steak frites and salad. Salad was tasty and steak was cooked perfectly and very tasty.
Wait staff is slow and "pushy" Not a good vibe. Many other patrons complained about service and they complained loudly.
Views of the ocean are amazing and if they can just work on more helpful staff and maybe add a little friendliness.

We had a very enjoyable and memorable Sunday lunch at this restaurant this past weekend. The decor and ambiance was very nice, and the food and service we excellent. It would have been good to see some more variety or options available on their all day menu however. They were following all of the COVID guidelines and made us feel safe throughout our dining experience. We cannot wait to enjoy the venue in the summer time! Definitely worth a try if you are in the area.

Everything else was packed so we came here. Service was amicable. Food wasn't bad and the outdoor seating areas was pretty picturesque. It just left me with that feeling that something was missing. Not sure of what yet, but will update this review when I do recall.
Just didn't really stick out in terms of the food. Kind of bland experience overall. Considering the location I could come back..

The food is good, but it's more French American, which is fine but nothing screams Wow!! Probably the French onion soup is the only wow factor out of everything we had.
The outside sitting is beautiful right on the water.
The staff is good but either overwhelmed or not completely attentive. Overall it's ok, but nothing amazing. So I'm leaving it 3 stars.

Girls' getaway weekend.
Did the spa day at nearby hotel.
Watched sunset from our hotel balcony. Time to find a classy bar for some French bistro food. Lucked into it still being happy hour.
Started with two of their tequila cocktails with some local raw oysters. Great beginnings.
Then their happy hour Riesling which was dry and delicious.
Two French onion soups.
Ended with a cheese platter and sharing a chocotini.
Superb service the whole way from bartender Natasha. Awesome to be at Jersey shore in January. Love the off season.

G r e a t happy hour! Come in on a Friday for half price off of the bar menu (score!!!) and $1.25 oysters and $1 fresh clams. Oh yes babyyyyy. $8 specialty cocktails and you absolutely need to get the coconut martini its so delicious and yummy. They also have $6 for house wine and honestly this is just an insanely good happy hour deal! My call for the best bar bites are the mussels, oysters, escargot & the hummus. Soooo good
Can't get over it & can't wait to come back

LONG BRANCH/PIER VILLAGE: we are happily surprised to share that Avenue Le Club is dog friendly at their outdoor tables around the side and back of the building, which is awesome because those areas provide the best views of the beach and ocean! Dogs have to be on the other side of the rope, next to your table, which is pretty easy to do.
This place is classy, but beachy enough to have a great time with the pup! The French-style food is great and there's a huge wine list and drink selection.

We decided to try Avenue after seeing it on a list of 49 restaurants in NJ to eat at before you die. While some restaurants on that list are lovely, this one is an absolute insult to the rest of the list.
We made a 7:30 reservation but had 25 minutes of issues with parking so we were about 5 minutes late. By the valet, there is a huge sign that says Avenue - but they don't comp the parking for Avenue customers. It's TWENTY dollars. When we walked in, there was a huge line by the hostess' stand. The check in process makes the one at the DMV look efficient. When we finally got
