Services
You can also schedule cuts, blowouts and color correction consultations directly online at our Online Booking site. A credit card on file is required to schedule. No shows or cancellations with less than 24 hours notice will be charged to the card on file but we make it easy to remember your appointment with multiple reminders.
We do trending modern haircuts along with classic and retro looks. Our dedicated cutters create pixies, shags, mullets, bobs, curly looks of all types, long layered haircuts, classic barbered looks and much more. We also have curly hair and razor cutting specialists at our Austin salon. Our prices are based on the time the service takes, never on gender.
Have you run across someone that said they understood how to cut curls only to find out they really didn't? Cutting curls is different. Not only is every head of curls different, most of our clients have different types of curls in the same head of hair. Individual curls also have different spring factors, so cutting them requires different amounts of tension.

I had a curly haircut from Sara and a color service from Emily. Sara added shape to my hair without sacrificing too much length, as I am trying to grow it out. She even showed me how to style my curls. Emily did a great job on the color. It didn't turn out exactly like we discussed after my visit, so I contacted the salon to ask for a color tweak (which is always a bit awkward to do). Emily was really easygoing and even gracious about tweaking the color, which I really appreciated. The only reason I'm rating 4 instead of 5 stars is that it is a fairly expensive salon.

I have been coming to this salon for years. Madison is a true artist and cuts my hair (though each time is different) in a way that makes me say “omg *this* is is so me!”
There is something magical about looking in a mirror and feeling like the haircut lifted a veil to reveal the best version of you.
Every person that works here is kind and helpful. The environment is warm and welcoming even if you haven’t been there before. It lacks the vibe some higher end salons can have - the one where you feel like you’re interrupting something and your presence is generally an inconvenience. KK

While I was happy with my haircut at the end of the appointment, it wasn't until I got home that I realized the stylist left some parts blatantly uneven. Spent $100, plus a decent tip, on a relatively simple haircut that only took 2-3 inches off of my hair, which was no lower than my chin, and not thick at all. I guess I expected it to be pretty much perfect for that amount of money, especially for just how short and thin my hair is.
Can't say I'll be returning, as I've had better cuts for half the price.

I cannot rave enough about this salon. From start to finish I had a professional experience. Sara is a legitimate hair wizard. She took my very vague idea and completely transformed my hair. I left with lots of written recommendations for care in response to my questions, and a new style that basically works for itself. Will definitely be back!

I was running out of hope. I was having terrible reactions to all hair dye. But too young to go gray, I transitioned to henna. After a couple of times, I started reacting to that too!! Now with henna dyed hair (which you don't come back from) and severe allergies, I went to Kris for a consultation with barely a shred of hope expecting confirmation that my hair dyeing days were over. Booked my appointment 6 weeks out. I work every day so had to go through a lot to make the appointment on my scheduled time. Arrive for my appointment to be told that they removed it because they didn't receive a card to add to their file. I've gone to Sara Cottrell for a curly haircut 3x in the last 9 months and my hair is growing and looks great! Prior to Sara, I was not getting regular trims/haircuts because I didn't trust how my curly hair would turn out. I really can't say enough great things about how much I love my new haircut and the experience with Jace. He listened to my request, studied the photo I brought, and spent time working on my hair to get it just right. I've never had anyone really listen before when I wanted a major change. He spent some time going over the products he used on my hair and helped me find them in their product section. I look forward to getting to know my 'new' hair and to returning to Jace in the future!

I had such a great first experience here! I recently moved to Austin and was super nervous/hesitant about switching to a new hair colorist. Everyone here was so friendly, and Hannah did an amazing job coloring my hair blonde - even better than where I have been going previously for the past several years! Loved my experience at Keith Kristofer! The salon is gorgeous and all of the staff were friendly and helpful. Ashlee H. was my stylist and she was superb! I would definitely schedule again / recommend if you're looking for a new salon!

I cannot express how happy I am with my curly cut performed by Sara C. She took the time to not only figure out what shape would work with my hair n face, but more importantly with my daily routine (which is...not much). She explained every step of her styling process so I could take care of my hair at home and make it look as good on my own as it did in the salon.
I've never embraced my curly hair before, but coming out of the pandemic I thought it was time for a change. It's only been a short while, but I can't imagine ever rejecting my curls again.
