Our home base location is in the heart of downtown Birmingham, directly across from the historic Alabama. This is our largest location and home to our educational space. Austin has always felt like the right spot for a Wheelhouse! Opened in 2019 and seated along the lively Lamar Blvd, our Austin salon is quickly becoming the go-to spot for good hair.
Oribe Hair Care was designed with the most talented salon professionals and the most discriminating customers in mind. No details are compromised by leveraging skin care technology and natural actives to deliver high-performance, treatment-based products-all while never forgetting that healthy hair is the underpinning for sexy, glamorous styling.
If you are a new client, you must receive a free 15 minute consultation with your stylist before booking a color appointment. Please call or email the salon to set a time. We proudly sell Oribe and R+Co products. If for any reason you are dissatisfied, promptly return products for exchange within 14 days of purchase.

Simply the best! The front desk staff is always welcoming, do their best to work you in, actually keep a cancellation list & call should a spot open. The stylist are all wonderful & friendly. Courtney is fabulous. I always receive honest advice & have never been pushed to purchase products. Fabulous all around!

Amazing experience. First cut in almost a year. As a guy with long hair it’s difficult to say where you’re at on the spectrum of services, so I called in my appointment. The ladies were very nice and I got in same day with Josh. Josh was professional, knowledgeable, and great to talk with. Will be going back!

I am so impressed with this salon! I have had wonderful experiences with Carlee every single time I have been there to get my hair done. Very professional! Great with time management. Great price for the services provided. My stylist even showed me new ways to style my hair. I love my hair cut! Thank you Wheelhouse for having such an awesome stylist and wonderful services ♥️

Went to Wheelhouse to have extensions installed, and paid over $300 for installation. In less than a week, extensions started falling out. Went back to have them put back in and had to go back a second time because the remaining extensions fell out. Finally, after hours and $$ spent at Wheelhouse, I ended up going to another salon to have my extensions fixed properly. I found out that the tape had not been used on both sides. Any trained extensions stylist should know that if the extensions fall out without any hair then the tape wasn’t installed properly. It’s pretty ridiculous that Wheelhouse

I have always thought very highly of Wheelhouse Salon and their owners. I actually had some personal encounters with one of the owners years back and that is one of the many reasons I chose this salon. However, I would never expect any business owner to act the way Johnny Grimes did today, no matter what a client may have done. I could go on and on about the price gauging, the unprofessionalism, the bad service I received. But at the end of the day, I sent a very well articulated email regarding the $900 + they've charged me for services I did not receive and over 8 hours of PTO I have spent at

I love Wheelhouse salon! It’s in such a great location and everyone is very welcoming! Ashley is AMAZING! She fixed my hair after a bad blonde experience and I’ve been going to her ever since. She is great with getting me to a beautiful blonde color despite being a natural brunette. Would 100% recommend for anyone looking for a fantastic hair stylist!
