Hilton Family Dentistry is the continuation of a long-standing dental practice in the Village of Hilton started by Dr. Robert Morriss in 1975. Dr. Scott Overholt arrived in February of 2010 and brought with him new services to offer Dr. Morriss' patients.
The common goals and values shared between the doctors led to a wonderful relationship in which Dr. Morriss was able to mentor Dr. Overholt in the ways of truly centering on patient wellness and their best interest.As the relationship evolved, Dr. Morriss' confidence in Dr. Overholt grew to a level of comfort in which the opportunity to purchase the practice was discussed.

Dr. Scott Overholt acquired his Bachelor's Degree from SUNY Geneseo. He then attended the University of Buffalo School of Dental Medicine where he received his Doctorate of Dental Surgery. Upon completion of his dental degree, Dr. Overholt completed a General Practice Residency at Strong Hospital. Following residency, Dr. Overholt sought out a practice where he could provide for patients who shared his desire to improve their oral health.
Our newest addition to the practice is our digital x-ray and intraoral camera equipment. With the addition of our digital x-rays, we have been able to drop our radiation exposure by 75%! This means we take 3 x-rays with the same amount of radiation as it took to take one film. This equipment gives us instant information and is displayed to allow you to become an active participant in your dental care.
At Hilton Family Dentistry, we strive to provide affordable dental care. In order to better assist you with this, Hilton Family Dentistry is a participating provider with BlueCross BlueShield Excellus, Delta Dental Premier, and Health Economics Group. This participation often leads to significantly lower out-of-pocket expenses.

During a cavity filling, I requested a second shot of Novocain because I was experiencing pain to which he refused and I ended up moving while he was drilling the tooth. As a result to me moving he refused to fill my second cavity and said that he "did not want to deal with me today". Now, 5 years later I have a new dentist who saw the tooth and said that he has to redo the filling because it was not done properly.

I had recent cosmetic dentistry done. Both upper and lower teeth. I have a BEAUTIFUL new smile that has changed my entire look and given me confidence along with good heart health. I could not recommend to a more “state of the art” place for dentistry. Dr. Overholt and his entire staff are a wonderfully caring team that take the time to listen to your needs. I have had many comments since expressing how lovely my new smile looks and that it does not look artificial at all. I highly recommend this professional dentistry service to anyone looking for cleanings, fillings or cosmetic dentistry
