The owner of the Twisted Cuban Cafe, Julio Ortiz, was born and raised in Havana, Cuba. He came to the United States when he was 24 years old and started working in the restaurant industry. He has owned and operated The Twisted Cafe since 2009.

The Cuban sandwich became the most popular menu item, so after much encouragement from existing clientele he decided to convert The Twisted Cafe sandwich shop into a full service restaurant called Twisted Cuban Cafe & Bar serving authentic Cuban food with many of the recipes handed down from his mother.

We offer a variety of catering options including boxed lunches, buffet dining or a la carte platters. These work great for corporate events or smaller celebrations like birthdays, anniversaries & more. You can hold your event at the cafe or we can deliver to the location of your choice. My server Kitty was very friendly and nice. She had a positive attitude and you could tell she was smiling even under her mask. The food was great too. I got a twisted Cuban sandwich, the yuka fries were really good, A little crunchier than a normal fries. As an appetizer I got the mash potatoes with ground beef and cheese inside of that are fried into a ball. I can't remember the name of it on the menu. Food was nice and my server made it even better. Would recommend! (My food is in styrofoam because I intended on dining out of the restaurant but I decided to just eat at the bar.)

I came here when it first opened and wasn't too impressed. Decided to give this place another try. It was ok. Service was nice. Mojito was delicious. We had the flan to go and that was good too. Other then that, everything was ok.

Absolutely delicious food, attentive and friendly service, lively atmosphere. The only ding against it is the parking situation, but I can't be mad when it's for sandwiches this good. Oh, also pretty convenient location from Redmond, and a friend from Bothell says the same for his location, so it seems all-around convenient. Of course, there's more on the menu than just the sandwiches, but I didn't try the rest - though I might go back for the ropa vieja.

We visited Twisted Cuban to try their Cuban sandwich. The location is a bit out of the way, but worth the effort. There were so many interesting selections on the menu, I ended up trying the veggie sandwich and black bean soup, instead. The sandwich was good. The soup was excellent and will likely lure me back. My husband had the monster Cuban with Yuca fries. I tried both. They were excellent.

My Cuban friend summed it up nicely, "My abuela is turning over in her grave."
Twisted Cuban isn't bad. But it wasn't good, either. For the price ($20 after tax and tip) I expected a LOT more out of the cookery and restaurant, but was seriously disappointed. Again, it wasn't terrible, but it wasn't worth $20.
Let's start with the positives: the restaurant was spotless. Also, the service was really friendly. The decor looked nice, too, for a glorified bar.
Looks can be deceiving, though; I sat down on a bar stool and was immediately uncomfortable. The chairs have no padding, at all, so the wood

Super tasty cuban food tucked away in Woodinville. Menu had a good selection with a lot of interesting looking items. Went with the monster cuban sandwich and it was flavorful and decently sized. I was a big fan of the yuca fries, and their garlic aoli. Definitely going to be back to try some of the other menu items

Love this place in the Woodinville area! Would for sure come back for more of their menu! We had the sampler plate for appetizers! And I had the lechon plate which was amazingly crunchy on the outside and tender inside! It was jam packed with flavors!

A tad expensive $$ but really good food. Slightly on the heavier side but no complaints. We had the Cuban pork sandwich and the sauted shrimp entree, both pretty tasty.

The Twisted Cuban is a really cute and friendly neighborhood restaurant. Great atmosphere and I actually really loved the music they played. The food is SO delicious, I had the Pollo Ajilla and it so good. We also shared the yuca fries and the fritas de maiz. Definitely looking forward to going back soon!
