Purchasing The Fitness Edge in 2020, owner Ken Yazge has created a different style of gym. Although it's physical size is large, the vibe is of a small community gym. As a certified personal trainer and health coach, Ken has a wholistic approach to wellness. Mind and body health are key. This involves mindfulness, exercise, and nutrition.
You will see him most days in the gym, either training, teaching yoga or cycling or just keeping the gym in top shape. We have lots and lots of cardio equipment that faces a bank of TV screens so you can be distracted while you rack up the cardio minutes. There are machines that target every portion of your body, all of them bolted down for safety and optimum use of the floor space.

Services
Working with a personal trainer should not be considered a luxury. Trainers know how to best use all of the equipment to its fullest advantage, and how to help you use it safely and intelligently to achieve your desired results, whether it be weight loss, muscle gain, or just plain old optimum physical fitness.
You can sign up for the class via our member app or online member portal. Group classes are included with membership, non-members can purchase single classes by registering on our schedule page. Not a member? The cost will be your normal monthly dues. We offer over 400 classes on demand inside the gym.

I like this gym, it has everything, it is cleaner then others in ps ,staff is friendly, you can get to anything you want, these may seem like a given but other gyms can be very crowded, this place is very relaxed , my only comment might be that sometimes there is hip hop music on, i would prefer more top 40 or classic rock or something, other then that this place does the job.........

I guess the old adage that you get what you pay for is especially true here. Upon reopening, they were fairly clean but that has disappeared. Bathrooms are filthy. Virtually no one wipes down equipment after use. Of course you have to search for hand wipe dispensers that actually have hand wipes in them. Most patrons have masks below their noses and many have them just hanging around their necks. This would include half of the trainers. Whatever you do, don't bother the high school girls at the desk as you might interrupt their texting sessions.

Thanks Ken for your response. When we canceled our memberships we received an email from you guys saying we would be contacted to confirm. So, you do have our email addresses, and we are yet to be contacted. I suspect you are going to charge us for May now right? If so that charge will be disputed. You seem to want points for not charging your members through the pandemic. Interesting.

My fiance and I got grandfathered into this place when it bought out palm springs fitness center. We wanted to cancel the membership because following covid we really didn't want the membership and had already bought our own home gym. They were also charging us from months ago (when covid didn't even allow working out inside a gym). We called to cancel and spoke to briana who was extremely rude and gave my fiance an attitude about cancelling, explaining that she had to come in person to cancel. My fiance calmly explained that her sister who lives with us has an auto immune and she did not want

A small, no frills gym that works great for me. Special shout out to Bryana, a model employee. For us early birds who work out in the parking lot and arrive at the 6:30 opening, she is already fully open & waiting for us. If it's another employee, we have to wait 15-20 minutes for him to get things prepared so for us on a tight schedule, we try to plan our workouts when she is there.

Love this gym, but they need some help in the COVID era. Today, I witnessed a Karen and another fella carry on a conversation sans masks for a good 20 minutes right in the main path. Most folks wear masks, but there are randos whose masks dip below their noses or chins (one guy was puffing on a cardio machine with a mask that just rested on his nose and blew up in the air with every exhale). Nobody is wiping down equipment even though there are wipes and spray everywhere. There is typically one lone female worker at the front desk, so no one is policing.

I like this gym. It's pretty basic (no showers), but it's got everything you need to reach your fitness goals. Free weights, cable machines, selectorized equipment, cardio, classes, personal training and more. Centrally located with ample parking. Clean & well-maintained. A good cross-section of Palm Springs works out here. Just about anyone would feel comfortable.
