Despite he is very knowledgeable about kungfu, his communication with the students is very unpleasant, and promotes lack of self-esteem is why I gave only 2 stars. Criticizing students when they don't know things other than kungfu.
Doing class, Shih-Ye ask the students about school and other topics. There was a topic regarding the planets, my child raised her hand which she was called on, she then asking thinking that Pluto was a dwarf planet, and he told her that he see why teachers didn't like her. Not understanding the basis of the whole thing, however, he was out of line making a statement

Positive: Professionalism
My son really enjoys the class. She-Ye cares about the kids and makes them work hard. It is more than teaching about Kung Fu. He is teaching them discipline, follow through, focus and self confidence. I would recommend.

My son has been enrolled since April and absolutely loves it. Shih Ye’s instruction is fantastic for young people and he focuses on the total child. Within the framework of martial arts instruction, he also works on discipline, respect, and self confidence. He empowers the students to take on leadership roles, teaches them about martial arts culture and fosters both independent and group progress concurrently. He is extremely talented at his craft and as long as you are serious about your work ethic, you will do very well.

Six years ago, I sought out a martial arts school to provide my daughter with effective self-defense techniques and improve her self-confidence. A close friend recommended Shih-Fu Kenneth Ware due to his pedigree (3 Time International World Champion and member of the Chinese Martial Arts Hall of Fame), and more importantly, his ability to expedite the development of his students through his traditional approach to Kung Fu. In a few short weeks of my daughter joining the school, I knew I made the right decision. She had already learned a few techniques to protect herself, and I could see that she

When I first read the reviews, I was concerned that Mr. Ware would not be welcoming to my family, especially to me as a woman. However, once I met him, my fears quickly dissipated. He is extremely welcoming and friendly. My children adore him. We have truly found a home at Cincinnati Kung Fu and Tai Chi Center and plan to keep our children enrolled for years to come.

I'm currently a student. I've been a student for almost 7 years. Throughout my years of studying, I've learned more and more things I didn't know about kung fu. There's no other great martial arts teacher than Shih-Ye. When you become a student the training will not only change your life but will always help you become more disciplined. Overall, kung fu is a great workout.

My five year old son has been attending the school just shy of a year now. His discipline and balance have improved drastically. He loves his classmates & has developed a great relationship with Shih-ye Ware. Shih-ye is hard on him, but in all the right ways. The members of this school are truly a family.
I love watching my son grow and ask questions to become a better student. This kung fu school was an excellent choice.

This school is a great school, there's no other way to look at it. Yes, the training is intense and the expectations are very high (from the moment you walk in the door), but that's TRADITIONAL martial arts training as it is and should be. Checking what you might not even realize is your ego at the door will give you warm welcome. It is very difficult to find a martial arts school that upholds the traditional teaching method and when you do, it is in your best interest to experience it with humility. A teacher's responsibility is to grow their students in skill and, most importantly, character

My son has been a student of Shi-Ye Ware since January of 2105. Since that time, he has leaned listening skills, discipline, how to focus, and he has gained a higher self esteem. Additionally, I attend a Tae-Bo Kickboxing class, free-of-charge, since my son attends Kung Fu class. I have lost 14 pounds and 1 dress size, since March, when I started taking the class. I read a review where someone was upset because they showed up 2 hours early to Tai-Chi class and was sent home. Upon returning, 2 hours later, they arrived in shorts for the class. My response is: Who does that? There are small boys
