I have heard tons of horror stories about debt collectors. My experience with CBU did not line up with any of them. I recently called this company to ask the question regarding credit report, not knowing I was calling the wrong place the representative that took my call was really rude. I could tell he was getting frustrated with me because he was talking to me impatiently and with a rush I kept asking him that I just wanted to get information. At the end he told me I was calling the wrong place. He could of just told me since the beginning that but he let me continue explaining my situation. When I ask him what was exactly the number I was calling, he kept saying I was calling the wrong number and hang up on

We also received a bogus collections notice from this company. It was very obvious, though, because the date of service and the service provider were clearly not in our area and we knew no one had gotten any services from them. I have to wonder if this is connected to the data breach that Anthem Blue Cross experienced not so long ago. I guess its time to sign up for the free identify theft protection they offered.

First of all, the suspicious bill from them says Creditors Bureau - Division of Fresno Credit Bureau" and look at the reviews of "Fresno Credit Bureau". They are scammers as well.
They pretend they are the professional debt collector for hospitals and steal money from you. The scary part is they have your information that you recently visited a hospital. And they seems to be registered as a company.
