DHMA offers quality instruction in Muay Thai (Thai boxing), and is a Thai Boxing Association of the U.S.A. (TBA)-certified school with five TBA-certified instructors on staff! Muay Thai is offered eight times a week and typically includes at least two certified instructors in each class!
Filipino Martial Arts (kali/escrima/silat) and Jeet Kune Do offer hands-on instruction in a small class environment, also with two certified instructors in a typical class! While the primary emphasis is on self-defense, martial arts training is also an excellent means of maintaining optimum health and fitness.

Services
Together with original Bruce Lee student Larry Hartsell, opened the first authorized academy to teach Jeet Kune Do on the East Coast. Trained and represented numerous fighters in regional Muay Thai/Thai Boxing events, including Tim Sielaff - North American amateur lightweight title at the inaugural TBA championships in Iowa, 2007.
It is our vision that each student, through our teachings, will learn to appreciate the martial arts of all cultures and value what each has to offer. Further, that the student will learn to adapt and modify to his/her own unique skills, attributes, and personality, for no one system, style, or individual possesses all the answers.

DHMA is an incredible martial arts school. I’ve been in martial arts for years and I can truthfully say the knowledge of Sifu Harrell is amazing. His teaching style enables even those with little or no experience to catch on quickly. The camaraderie of the students and teachers is awesome. You won’t find a better school.

I've trained martial arts for several years at schools all around the country. DHMA is one of the best there is for several reasons: The highest quality instruction in a variety of different but complimentary arts, a good mix of student experience level, and a welcoming atmosphere. Come in and train!

DHMA is a great place to learn martial arts and meet good people. I always got a lot more than the effort I put in and it's rewarding. There's always new concepts and techniques to learn and improve on. Everyone there is willing to help each other grow and learn. My favorite arts there are Muay Thai, JKD, and Filipino Martial arts and it's been able to broaden my sense of timing and awareness.
The seminars that are held there, are always cuturally rich, effective, and taught by world-famous martial artists and national fighters.

The Cardio Combat class here will kick your buns!!! I run all the time but I need conditioning so I started coming to these classes. They offer this one Tues/Thurs/Sat. and will charge you a $15 drop-in rate. They have special deals if you sign up for more classes in advance.
The Tuesday class is the least busy and you will get very individualized attention. Janet is a really encouraging and sweet instructor. Love it! Dont forget: BYOT (towel) and BYOW (water).
