The Bilingual Cooperative Preschool was founded in 1980 by Lilian Buchanan and Maria Emery, two moms who made a difference. They wanted their children to take advantage of the rich cultural diversity found in Miami and with that vision formed a community-The Bilingual Cooperative Preschool. We are located in the beautiful Bartram House, designated a historic site by the Miami-Dade Historic Preservation Board.
A lush, tropical garden shades our playground and surrounds our schoolhouse. It is an idyllic setting for fun and learning. The Co-op is a unique environment, where teachers and parents work together to provide nurturing and education. It is our philosophy and continued vision to honor diversity through socialization, education, and language development in English and Spanish.

This is a great School in the heart of Coral Gables in a beautiful historic building. It is also a non-profit with a cooperative model, which allows parents to be involved in their child's early education. Both teachers have many years of experience and the proper credentials from the state. It is unfortunate to see some negative comments, especially having been involved with the school myself and knowing that the criticisms are baseless. It is apparent from the vitriolic and hysterical tone that the person who wrote those unfair comments are truly just projecting their own negativity, dysfunction

This school is a wonderful place run by two of the best women I have ever met. My daughter LOVED the school and the teachers. It is cooperative so parents are expected to spend two or three days a month assisting the teachers. We loved this aspect of the school. It increases the security and adds to a feeling of community. Miss Gina & Miss AnaMaria have worked wonders with so many children. Additionally the school has the most lovely shaded yard that I have ever seen at any preschool
A note about the Carlos P review, it does not ring true at all. Objectively, Miss Gina is not old & does

This is a
excellent preschool. I feel very accomplished the education and loved that we got
from the coop.
As a first school it's important to receive a friendly
and a supporting system.
It's an extension of the family.
We have made good friends for life and we all wished we could stay there longer!
