It's a good gym with great staff, but there are some serious flaws. If you plan to workout between 8am to 1pm or 430pm to 6pm, forget it. Every machine is taken, every bench is taken, and people are literally waiting in lines to get a spot. If you are worried about the pandemic, then this is not the place to be as during those hours it is shoulder to shoulder. They sell much too many memberships and the gym simply can't accommodate that many people. Also, they have been slowly reducing the hours it is open. It used to be 247, but now it closes early and opens late. It's also worth mentioning that

All service members beware I have never had so much difficulty trying to cancel membership due to PCSing. Was originally told all I would have to do was bring in my orders when moving to cancel when the time came they gave us the biggest run around refused to do if we stopped getting charged but really they just decided to send bills to collection agency Absolute nightmare of a company to deal with

I have been a member of EFC since they opened. It is a nice enough gym (although not the cleanest or best maintained). However, I most recently prepaid for an 18 month membership and was assured that if I were to relocate for my job, I would be provided a prorated refund. I have recently moved to another city and EFC now refuses to honor the refund that I was promised when I signed up. This is sleazy business practice and their sales tactics are overly aggressive and sleazy as well. They also require references when you sign up, who they will call and harass on a daily basis.
I strongly recommend

I signed up for a family membership so my wife and I could work out and have childcare for our 4 kids, we were misinformed of the availability of child care and have been trying to cancel my membership, no one has been willing to help me only directing me to send an email which I am not getting a response back from. It's got good facilities but be VERY careful before signing up

EFC is extremely unethical in their business practices. While signing up, I was told that I had to refer multiple other people through the app or my app wouldn't work. This was in fact a lie. The bathroom sinks are always out of soap, which is extremely unhealthy especially during these times of COVID. The scale in the men's bathroom hasn't worked in months. If I'm paying top dollar for a gym, I expect fully functioning equipment. There aren't enough bar clamps so I am forced to lift heavy weight, putting myself at risk due to their failure to supply enough a cheap and readily available piece of

It's a nice gym, but they do a few things that I would call is anti-customer. They make you give 5 references on signing up and spam those people on a monthly basis to join the gym. Month to Month membership requires a 3 month in advance notice to cancel. If you cancel right after your bill date they still charge you for another month. They charge the month to month a 50 dollar gym maintenance fee in addition to the expensive membership.
All these nuances of the gym were communicated during the signing of the contract, not before. Definitely don't recommend signing up for this gym unless they

2 stars because the facility is good HOWEVER if you're military, stay away!!! I repeat, STAY AWAY!! They lie and say you can break your contract with military orders but it'll take them forever to get back with you and actually cancel it. You'll still be paying even when it's "cancelled". Some how my $59 plan turned into $89 dollars even after being canceled.

I agree with other reviews on here. The is a very nice, large, with a great variety of equipment. My concern is the hygiene standard in the locker room area. I've mention it to a couple of worker briefly, but I haven't notice any difference. Lately, I've started noticing there is a lack with the cleanliness. High traffic areas in the locker rooms is been below standard lately, I've notice dust accumulating in the locker area, sauna floors dirty and mold build up in the shower tiles, I have tried multiple showers and they all either have mold, water drain clogged, dirty urinal, dirty counter tops

Loving Evans Fitness Club. If you enjoy group workouts, EFC is a great place to join. The classes and instructors are great. Zumba with Mika, Alfred and Angie is great ...Love it...., Shabam with Kat and Bodyjam with Goldei and Kim to get my dance cardio BodyCombat with Lara, Toning with Nassab, Abs with Amanda, and I can't forget my Body Pump with Paula, Andy, Kelly. There are other great classes/instructors as well Bootcamp, and Cardio Bag with Mary and Cynthia to mix it up. I can't wait till they add HipHop Step with Mika hopefully a morning class after 10am. EFC has plenty to choose

Saw a post on Facebook by gym's co-owner and many negative comments about not being able to end 2-3 yr long contracts. I called the gym to see if they offer a month to month plan and took me 10 minutes of convincing the sales person named Ashlyn that i do not want to schedule a tour without first knowing what they offer and the prices they start at. VERY DIFFICULT TO GET STRAIGHT ANSWERS. I wanted to support a local gym but found out from personal friends that it is near impossible to end a contract with this gym. Some friends have even gotten lawyers involved. Plus side: nice gym, group classes

There are many community workout centers that can't hold a candle to this one, although I've never met one I didn't like I really like this one for several reasons. First of all the camaraderie here is inviting, not exclusionary, it is high caliber without being "exclusive", And I mean that in a good way. Let's say it's very high-level without the snobbery pretension. It's also not overly testosterone but believe me there's plenty of muscle here. To say family oriented might be pushing it but, a lot of families will find this right up their alley

I've never been a gym person. Ever. I'll workout once or twice before I burn out and throw in the towel. I'll say, "I'll just go jogging at home. It's free." But that never works either.

I'm about to turn 32, so I thought I'd give this gym a shot....fully expecting to quit. But here I am 3 months in, and I LOVE to go nearly each day.

The locker rooms are phenomenal! Super clean! I especially enjoy the steam room after a workout and a cool down in the (incredibly nice) shower! I think the steam has done a lot for my asthma.

I love the longterm-use

To start off, this place is large, spacious, has a ton of equipment, lively and FILLED with people who are NOT REQUIRED to wear masks in this facility during the SECOND SPIKE of COVID-19.
That all said, I gave this place a good reasonable try and enjoyed it as a first day to the 30-Day free trial they offer, that is, until I came to pick up my ID (drivers license) on my way out. First, I have to insert myself between the two female employees working the desk to get their attention, then I am met with one of the employee's laughter as she calls me by the wrong name. I don't expect her

Update: This gym is one of the first places to reopen. Fine. The first week or so they were taking ppls temps, place was very clean etc. now however when everything is getting worse and worse. They have not taken my temperature since the first week. No one wears masks, not even the staff! They do not wipe down equipment, the ones blocked off are always covered in dust so I assume they haven't been cleaned in quite a while. The massage beds do not work and When I asked for them to pause my membership until the risk is lesser from covid I got no response and they continue to take my money. What

Do not join this gym, it is virtually impossible for you to cancel your membership. I joined June 6, 2020 and asked the manager to cancel my melebership after an unpleasant experience. They informed me that I will not be able to cancel my contract since I was outside of the 7-day window. Thus, I am forced to pay for the membership for a contract of 24-months. The management and staff are condescending, patronizing, and rude and care very little about the consumer. Furthermore, they are doing a horrible job at enforcing social distancing, face coverings for staff, and keeping cleaning and sanitation

So finally decided to go back to the gym today and to my great displeasure I see ppl (including trainers) definitely NOT social distancing...I'm having a hard time understanding exactly why anyone thinks that COVID-19 has just up and left!! I took my son as well since he wanted to get out of the house with the understanding that this gym would be safely managing its members and closely monitoring the child watch area. I see employees not wearing any type of face covering, not maintaining a social distance and in fact socializing as the last several months are now a distant memory...then top

Good luck trying to cancel your membership! I originally tried cancelling in 2018 after they charged additional hidden fees but told me I had to fulfill my contact until the end of the year.
April 2019, they were STILL charging me. Called to tell them I had to cancel because of military orders.
Guess what? April 2020 and I'm STILL fighting with them to cancel my membership.
They don't respect their customers and they sure don't respect the military or try to understand the needs of the military.

- horrible predatory membership

I had given this gym a try when they first opened and I wasn't impressed with the daycare service and cost so I decided not to join. Recently I was asked by a friend to come try it out again and use a one month free trial. Upon entering the gym we were introduced to ---- - at first he seemed nice but after I let him know on day 1 I wouldn't be signing a contract he didn't want to have anything to do with me. That is fine as I don't want to feel Im going into a car dealership every time I walk in to a gym. As the days passed and I entered into the gym he made it a point to not

I am actually still in disbelief as I write this as this is just so unbelievable. I have been a member of Evans Fitness Club since before the doors opened in 2012. I have been a loyal member who has promoted the gym, referred numerous people and encouraged current members to treat the facility with respect and I have convinced dissatisfied members wanting to leave to give them a chance to correct the concerns. On Monday, May 13, 2019 I was approached by the "director of personal training" Scott. This was the first time he has ever said anything to me or even acknowledged my existence

Update: they've added a towel dispenser situation. It's weird. I always bring my own towel, so no issue for me, but they've implemented this so they can try to get more towels back than people take home. You have to scan your membership card to get a towel and if you don't return it, it's a $25 fee added to your account. Personally that's pretty insulting, especially when the average membership is $39.99 per month. But okay, EFC - whatever you say. Also, it creates a HUGE line and congregation of people trying to get towels in a very inconvenient spot in the gym. As
