I would recommend the Island Trees Veterinary Hospital to any pet owner that would like to have their pet evaluated and treated. Their office staff led by Tracy is caring and quite helpful in the scheduling of appointments and handling whatever payment questions you may have. The technicians are caring and listen to the owner’s concerns. Dr. Gottlieb is a talented and dedicated veterinarian who has taken great care of our dog Lulu and has been very kind and supportive to us as well. Dr.Gottlieb and his staff are rock stars to our family!

Dr. Caren, Tracy and the entire staff are always professional and compassionate. We have been using Island Trees Veterinary for 40 years with all of our animals which are family to us.They treat them with such care. Dr. Caren and Tracy always take the time to listen, talk and answer any questions that we have. Such hardworking people and staff that put the needs of the animals first!!

By far the best veterinarians in the region, I have continued to take my dog and cat here even after moving out of the area. The receptionist Chan is very nice and always responsive to any questions I have and provides excellent explanations.

Dr. Caren was amazing. They fit my cat in at the last minute because of an emergency and got him feeling better. You can tell Dr.Caren really cares about the animals he takes care of.

My 11 month old puppy came down with a terrible cough after spending 2 nights in a kennel. Island Trees Veterinary Hospital fit us in for a visit. I was so appreciative that they were able to do that because only one doctor was there. They said there might be a wait and I did not care as long as my dog was able to be seen. Dr. Gottlieb called us to inform us of her condition and gave us medication for her and answered all our questions. Today she is feeling much better. Thank you Dr. Gottlieb and your wonderful staff.

Their customer service is absolutely horrible. Waited OVER an hour in the parking lot, along with many other customers and the temperature was over 85 degrees. Called them up & it was supposed to be a 30 minute wait. 45 minutes later they call. Sorry you lost me as a customer and probably a few others that were irate.

I switched to Island Trees from another local Hicksville vet a couple of years ago to take care of our 2 cats, and the service has been amazing every time. We have done everything from major surgery to annual checkups with Island Trees and love every doctor and staff they have working for them. Even during COVID and waiting in the car until they call you, everything has continued being smooth to take care of our pets. I recommend their services to anyone needing vet care and writing this review as I look up their number again to call with another sick pet issue.

My little cat 🐈 had gotten into a fight. One of his paws was badly swollen. At the clinic they were able to calm him down as well as treat it, so he was good as new afterwards.

I recently had to take my dog Jessie to the Vet because she was having an eye discharge issue that was not going away. I had hesitated at first because due to COVID restrictions I was unable to accompany my dog into the office. She was seen by her usual care provider, Dr. Gil Caren. My anxiety was immediately alleviated by hearing the empathy, professionalism, and concern in his voice. I cannot stress enough how much that means to a pet parent. He discussed a treatment plan in language I could understand, and he answered all my questions without hesitation. I am happy to say My Jessie is back home

I live an hour away but don’t mind the drive knowing my cats in good hands ,.came for neutering and shots for my cat, everything went great no problems , The employees are great there had a pleasant experience 🙂👍🏼👍🏼 , the prices are reasonable , would recommend here for anyone wanting best care for there pet. -Lucky 🐾

Horrible service... took my puppy to nuteur under Spay program . The stitches came out in a day and they told me they had to do another surgery and charged me $500+ as the cap was small . Ofcourse their fault as if they were doing so 1st time The doctor was rude and staff too ....

My dog was sick for weeks and our vet couldn’t figure out what was wrong and told us he was fine and didn’t need a follow up BUT he was getting worse. We heard how AMAZING Dr Caren was and decided to switch and see if he could help our dog Cody. Dr Caren is such a compassionate person,he took such great care of our dog and called us to check up on… him daily...after testing our dog and seeing his symptoms he diagnosed our dog with Addison’s disease. He saved our dogs life!!!!!!! He explains EVERYTHING and is so thorough! If it wasn’t for him I don’t know if

The Droctors, technicians, receptionists are all fantastic! We board our dog there and he is always well cared for. Highly recommend them!

We just adopted a dog through a rescue, she arrived with a uti. I stopped with her at the office and they took her right in even though i did not have an appointment.

We now live in Florida, and we have to say that Dr. Caren is a hard act to follow! The protocol, at the current hospital , of which our five toy dogs are patients, is less integrative, of an experience. “ Parents” are not present, during testing, and the vets are proficient, but do not take the time to make their four legged patients feel secure.… Dr. Caren sweet talks and strokes fur babies. They regard him as a favorite Uncle, not a clinician. Dr. Caren was our vet through twenty- five years, of dogs and fourteen years of guinea pigs. His advice always was compassionate, but
