Riverside Veterinary Hospital will be known for its exceptional compassion and care for all of God's creatures. God's creatures include both the animals that are brought to us and the people that we have an opportunity to serve and work with; clients, fellow team members, suppliers, and community members.
Riverside recommends spaying or neutering your pet at 6 months of age unless you specifically wish to use it for breeding. Pets that have been spayed or neutered are generally much healthier and have even been proven to live longer! Microchips have helped reunite thousands of pets with their families.
Complicated cases that require additional care may be referred to the Veterinary Specialty Hospital or the North Carolina State Veterinary Teaching Hospital. Illness doesn't always have a physical cause. Our veterinarians can help determine the cause of such disorders as separation anxiety and obsessive behavior, and then develop a treatment regimen and behavior program for the client.

I don't use this vet very often, but I do get my dog's flea medicine from them fairly regularly. When I went to get some today, I was first told that I should have called first to get the flea medicine (although they allowing people I now). Then I was told they couldn't sell me "anything" because my dog needs a shot. I was quite confused by the decision and the tone. I let them know that I have an appointment, which is 2,weeks away because they didn't have any sooner when I made it. She still wouldn't sell me flea medicine. My dog is 9 so I am thoroughly disgusted

AWFUL PLACE!!!! If you love your pet DO NOT BRING THEM HERE!!!!!!! The owner is evil and rude. I told him about his doc who attended my pregnant dog telling him my dog was in labor and and she couldn't push out puppy and she sent us home knowing that the puppy was too big since we had an ultrasound done. She never said hey it's your dogs past due date and single puppies are big I would recommend since you are here let's have a c section. Instead she sent us home making me think it's possible for my dog to push out that big puppy. Two days later I take her back because she&apos

NEVER NEVER NEVER TAKE A BELOVED PET TO THIS PLACE. First: Overcharging. What sort of thieves take advantage of a pet owner by billing nearly $800 -- without even the COURTESY of a phone call to discuss it first? Second; Coincidence that the pet DIED within a WEEK of being "cared" for by these people? Not likely. Horrid place! I would have given them a -10 rating, but there was no opportunity to do so. Do yourself and your pets a LIFESAVING FAVOR: GO ELSEWHERE!!!!!

Left my 2 dogs here... never again. Very crowded with loud, constant barking. One of my dogs was returned all wet. Staff said they had to hose diarrhea off him. I wonder how long he sat in his own poo & how often they really walk dogs. Plus, I left twice as much food as needed, but the container was empty. Why? And what food did my dogs get? And why did staff not say anything abt the food or diarrhea until confronted? Makes me wonder what else happened. I don't trust these guys.
