Tarboro Animal Clinic is proud to serve the Tarboro, NC area for everything pet-related. Our veterinary clinic is owned by Dr. Anita Fung, who is a licensed, experienced veterinarian. Our team is committed to educating our clients on how to keep your pets healthy year round, with good nutrition and preventative care.
Each member of our team plays a special role in making you and your pet's experience as positive and rewarding as it can be. We work hard to create an environment where not only you are comfortable, but your pet is also comfortable. Dr. Meagan Gilbert completed her undergraduate degree at Michigan State University with a Bachelor's in Zoology.
Our appointment book is computerized, which allows us to efficiently make appointments for you and your pet. Our receptionists and team will attempt to accommodate all requests to the best of our ability. Emergencies are accepted anytime our clinic is open. If you feel you have an emergency with your pet, please call us or come in immediately.
There are two new convenient ways to contact us: our new mobile app, and 1-to-1 texting! Our mobile app is called Pet Health Network. And you can use it to request an appointment, view your pet's prescription history and details, request prescription refills, and access information about our practice.
What is Petly? Petly is a secure personal health page for your pet that gives you direct access to your pet's health records 24/7. I LOVE Tarboro Animal Clinic. I am probably the most annoying, picky customer in the world. They totally know how much I love animals more than people. They treat my animals as if they were their own pets. They are #1 in my book. I love the staff and especially Dr. Fung and Dr. Gilbert.

I am Beyond pi$$ed off...! I have a senior dog with hip and back problems. She has to be handled carefully because she will injure herself if not handled appropriately. I make sure to tell them this upon arrival every time! They always tell me they will take special care of her needs. But Every time I get her home she has mobility issues for a couple of days with her hips and back legs. Today WILL BE HER LAST VISIT! She couldn't even get up the 3 steps on my deck. I had to pick her up and carry her into the house.

Attempted to get my mother's sick cat seen by a vet on May 25th. The cat had previously been to this office. I was told that the first available appointment was June 11th and told I could take the cat to Riversde in Rocky Mount. My previous visit with this veterinary clinic was great. While I'm glad their business is apparently booming I am very disappointed that a call about a sick animal at 11:00 on May 25th can't be addressed by this office until June 11th.

Dr. Fung has been our vet for several years. My husband and I trust her with our fur baby, and that's saying a lot.
Our 12 year baby, Lucky Cat (aka Bubba Cat) likes Dr. Fung, and he doesn't like too many people.
We've also boarded Bubba Cat numerous times, and I know he will be given his medication everyday and at the correct time. I don't have to worry about my fur baby when I'm on vacation.
I wholeheartedly recommend Dr. Fung and her staff.
