In 1924, our family opened the first Ruck Funeral Home, dedicated to providing caring, compassionate and dignified service to our community. Today, we serve families from three locations in the Baltimore Area. We believe it is not only attention to detail, inviting and comfortable facilities, but also, the personal commitment of four generations of our family and staff to those who call on us to help them, that is our Legacy of Service.
Our experienced professional staff is a part of your community, dedicated to helping you through this difficult time. A funeral is a statement that a death has occurred. With many funeral homes and cemeteries being purchased and managed as part of large corporate franchises, families who choose our Funeral Homes find a welcome difference.

Services
Prior to the founding of our Firm, Leonard J. Ruck worked for the firms of Snowden & McCasland and the George Ruth Funeral Home located on Harford Avenue, where he began his career as a chauffeur. When he married Margaret L. Finnegan in 1918, he moved with her into her mother and step-father's home at 6405 Sefton Avenue, located in the Northeast section of Baltimore City.
We understand that making the many decisions which come at a time of loss can be difficult. We offer our support by providing you with two options as you consider making immediate arrangements. Please call us at 410-823-1700, 410-426-1517 or 410-288-4664 to make arrangements in person with a caring professional.
Most of us plan ahead in life. We plan for our wedding, our children's education, family vacations, and other significant expected life events. We also plan for the unexpected events of life by purchasing home, auto and medical insurance. Understanding the benefits of pre-planning has prompted many to take the step to plan their own arrangements.
A funeral is an event where people gather together to express their grief for the death of a loved one and to share with and support others who are also experiencing grief.
A funeral provides an organized opportunity for the family and friends of the deceased to acknowledge the loss, to state the important role this person had in their lives, to recognize the loved one's contributions and accomplishments and to prepare for life without the deceased.

Most of us are not prepared to plan and carry out a funeral ceremony for someone we love. And so much of the information available on this critically important subject fails to focus on what is most important: having a personalized, meaningful funeral that helps families and friends begin the healing process of mourning after the death of someone we love.

I was so impressed with the caring service our family received with the passing of our mother. I was in all with how seemless the process was. One call and the ball was rolling and they kept me informed throughout the whole process. I worked with Dennis and he was nothing but professional. Everyone that I had contact with were very nice and helpful. I really can't say enough about the service, well done! Thank you!

It is a nice clean place getting old for I know it was there since my childhood and I'm now 51 years old and it has been standing for many years prior :-) this Funeral Home has been in our family for many years! They offer free coffee and hot tea in their break room which is rather spacious then they have a male and a female bathroom and also a unisex bathroom for the public to use when viewing with their friends or loved ones. For people that are handicapped and need wheelchairs there may be a back entrance I'm not sure but the front entrance there are several steps that you must go up so it might

My Dad passed away in 2013, he had no life insurance and I was barely keeping his finances going between his doctor appts and his many prescriptions. My Mom had passed in 1996 so my Dad was all I had. I was trying to help my Dad with his Finances even though my husband had lost his job. Things were very hard. My Dad ended up with Dementia among other health issues and suffered in his last year of life. I choose Duda Ruck because it has been a choice for our whole family. I had to go with a payment plan because I could afford to pay $5,000 up front. After paying for over a year, Duda Ruck decides
