Services
Dr. Genova As the owner of Village at Main Veterinary Hospital, I am excited to meet you and your pets and to let you know what you can look forward to. I have had the good fortune to be an active, practicing veterinarian medicine since 1974. In those years, I have been an emergency care specialist, a general practitioner, an educator at the Michigan State University Veterinary Medical Teaching Hospital.
Because puppies and kittens have less developed immune systems, they are far more susceptible to disease and parasitic infection. During puppy and kitten wellness exams, vital statistics are taken and recorded. Depending on the age of your pet, we might also perform lab work to provide a comparative chart for future visits.
Pets can experience many of the same dental issues that humans do, including gingivitis, periodontal disease, necessary tooth extraction, and deep scaling. Regular dental exams and cleanings can help you avoid the costliness of involved dental procedures and can help prevent your pet from unnecessary suffering.
While nursing, pets receive antibodies and nutrients from their mother's milk. When nursing stops, pets become more susceptible to illnesses because their immune systems do not have the same support they once did. As part of a preventative care routine, pet vaccinations can help protect your pet from life-threatening diseases.
Our hospital offers this low-cost service but with high-quality, compassionate care that your pet and family deserve! Choosing to spay or neuter your new pet is one of the most responsible decisions you can make as a pet owner.
Spaying and neutering pets is estimated to add years to your pet's life in decreasing or eliminating their chances of getting certain cancers or infections; it also helps decrease the amount of animals in shelters and the number of euthanized pets each year.In regards to overpopulation, there are many dogs and cats that are homeless or euthanized at shelters because there are no owners that will take them.

Probably the most experience I have ever had with a vet. They don't give you scientific or correct medical advice, they say I don't know a lot, I gave specific symptoms and yet they don't know. They just wanted my money and kept saying to try this and try that. I will not be returning here, and if I was you, I wouldn't take your pet here either. Biggest regret of my life.

My daughter, who is just starting to adult, brought her cat in for an exam. Daughter was told to stay in her car (!) while they took the cat. Vet or assistant who communicated (from a distance) with my daughter about issues and fees (which kept changing) were rude and didn't explain so that daughter could understand the process or fees clearly, and actually talked down to my daughter and made her feel stupid for not knowing how things work (even though it was her first time!). We will certainly NOT be bringing any pets back to this location. Care given was adequate, but staff is rude. Do not recommend

We like this hospital because they support PAWS Animal Shelter. Any animal hospital that works hand in hand with an animal shelter is virtuous in my eyes because they walk the walk and talk the talk - they aren't in it just for money. They sincerely care about the lost, sick, homeless and abandoned ones. God bless them! These three kittens found forever homes and were adopted from PAWS Animal Shelter because they were neutered at Village at Main!

Came here to get my cat neutered. Over all, they did a fantastic job. I just wish they lady I talked to on the phone was a bit more upfront about the pricing. I was told one thing on the phone, and after I come to pick him up, a completely different price all together. I suppose it's not a big deal, just wished for a more accurate price.
Would recommend to people, just that you get a double checked price at the door.

We had a nail trim and vaccination appointment this morning for both of my dogs at 9:30 am. They trimmed one of my dogs nails but the other dog they kept her for 2 hours and never gave her the vaccines or the nail trim. We had an appointment for a reason. Our dog is already very scared of the vet and we sedate her every time. We called after two hours of her being there and they said “we will fit her in when we can” which is extremely unprofessional because we had made this appointment in advanced. They kept her in a kennel which she is also scared of. They were extremely rude and snarky

WONDERFUL VET! We've been coming to this vet for over a year now and we love them! I wish I could give them more than five stars. Both my cat and dog come here and they let them be in the same exam room because they're more comfortable together.
A couple of months ago, my dog tore his ACL and we took him to another vet that was closer to us (we live in Lake Oswego) and they told us there was no other solution than surgery and we had to do it ASAP and it was going to be over$4,000. They also told us once we did surgery on one leg, there was a 50% chance they'd have to do surgery on the other leg
