I've had my children learn BJJ & MMA at a couple of places and all were very good. Two of my children competed for years. My youngest thinks Moore MMA is tops. Normally, ir was a challenge to get him to go to the gym. WIth Moore, he actually looks forward to it. He does this not because it's easy, far from it, but rather, the challenge is somehow fun.
Not only do you get input, help and guidance by the owner, who has mega amounts of experience in all facets of MMA, but you get this in a way that it makes you learn quickly. It's definitely not One-Size-Fits-All. They know who you are and train

If you want to get and stay in great shape and learn practical self-defense techniques this is the place! The people at Moore MMA are all really friendly, helpful, and encouraging. The instructors are very down to earth, have decades of knowledge and experience, and the private lessons are affordable. Highly recommended!

Great place to learn. Super intimate atmosphere makes it easy to get in one on one time with coaches. I never feel ignored and always feel like part of the team! No pressure to compete - lots of people just coming in for a great workout. Long-time practitioners are always willing to slow things down and help beginners learn, especially while drilling. Female friendly. All around the best gym in Pittsburgh!!

This is a fantastic gym that has high-quality instructors patient and humble enough to work with beginners, but skilled enough to train any seasoned fighter. Master Instructor Dan Moore offers excellent 1 on 1 instruction, treats everyone with respect, and keeps the gym in pristine condition. I would recommend this gym to anyone looking for something as simple as a new workout routine (like myself), to those trying to step into the ring competitively.
