Westchase Impact Martial Arts
Westchase Impact Martial Arts' experienced instructors and staff offer practical methods and techniques that will allow you to stand your ground in one-on-one or multiple-attacker situations, as well as against someone holding a weapon. Enroll your child in an enriching, fun after school program - that provides transportation!

We pick your child up from school, and bring them right to our martial arts studio for an afternoon full of martial arts. There are a few simple things that make a good martial arts school a great one. We work our hardest every day to fulfill those things, and give our students the best experience we possibly can.
Services
Yes, your child will have FUN, make Friends, and laugh (a lot). But they'll also develop powerful life skills like discipline, focus, confidence, and more. And of course - "Quiet Down Time" lets them finish homework, enjoy reading, or even draw a picture if they want!. Quiet time is crucial in martial arts to create a steel-trap memory and laser-like focus later on.
Our training system has been designed to help kids stay motivated and feel good about their progress. Our Instructors have a strong impact with the kids, therefore, each instructor must have specific training in the skills of goal setting and motivation. Each instructor at Impact Martial Arts is fully trained and certified to work with children of all ages.
Many people fear trying the unknown, especially when it has the mystique of karate training. The instructors and staff at Impact Martial Arts strive to instill confidence while making you feel comfortable as you take your first steps into the exciting world of martial arts! Like many before you, you can do much more than you think possible!
Alexey Petrov is a 6th degree black belt who has over 28 years of experience in the Martial Arts. Alexey became interested in the Martial Arts after moving to the United States from Moscow, Russia when he was 14 years old. Although Alexey holds a Computer Science degree and worked successfully as a software engineer in two of the top 4 accounting firms, his passion has always remained for Martial Arts.
At Westchase Impact Martial Arts we teach students of all ages. Our Lil Dragons program is for kids ages 3 to 5, while our regular kids classes range in age from 6 to 11. We also have classes for Teens & Adults and our most popular class is our Family Class where kids and their parents can train together.

Absolutely 💯 love the staff and the values they have taught my son in the last year. My son attends their after school and summer program and he loves it. It's exactly what was needed to help him succeed this last year. 👏
We look forward to seeing his progression over the next year.

My children have been with Impact for almost 6 years. Starting them young was the best decision I could have made. Mr. Petrov is a wonderful role model and teaches the kids respect and responsibility all while having fun and getting out that energy. We went from class 1x a week when they were younger to the after-school program and I am so happy we did. The program picks them up from school, assists with homework as needed, provides an outlet for energy through fun and hard work and most importantly my kids love going. Mr. And Mrs. Petrov and Brandi are so wonderful with the kids and treat everyone

My son has been attending the after school program for 2 months. We are very happy with the care he has been receiving and he loves going to Impact and Mr Petrov! All staff are happy and pleasant to all of us and the lessons my son receives in martial arts are great! We even have participated in Friday Night Parents Night Out. We are very pleased! We would recommend this business!

My family will be forever grateful to Impact Martial Arts. During these trying times, the owner, Mr. Petrov accommodated my young son and his friend for private lessons. It is hard to find safe extracurricular activities right now, so this place has been such a blessing for us!
Mr. Petrov goes above and beyond and wears a mask the entire lesson , just to make sure we feel comfortable. He has been so genuinely kind from the very first phone call. He is very patient & makes the class fun , yet still challenging them. The facility is so clean & nice. My son loves it here and can’t wait to go back

I am so thankful I had a friend find Westchase Impact Martial Arts for our boys. Due to covid putting a huge wrench in all of our plans for this year, the private lessons we’ve been able to do with Mr. Petrov have been wonderful! My son is 4 almost 5 and he is having the best time learning here, never ending smiles. Mr. Petrov is so patient and an outstanding teacher. We look forward to moving my son into the group classes soon but we are loving the personal instruction he gets. There are so many different aspects and lessons he learns here doing martial arts. We came because we wanted our son

My son has been with Westchase Impact Martial Arts for about 6 years. We love this studio! They take time and care about each individual student on their path to earning their black belt and beyond. In addition to physical conditioning, they promote integrity, confidence, discipline and self-control. They treat us like family while having our son grow physically and spiritually. 5 star studio!

Exceptional Experience! My two son's LOVE taking classes at Impact Martial Arts. They are both in the Leadership Program and learning valuable life skills such as discipline and confidence along with getting a good physical workout. The Instructor genuinely cares for them and encourages them to succeed inside and outside of class. Not only do they take class, they also attend Summer Camps, Friday's Parents Night Out, compete in tournaments and are looking forward to the After School Program. We had been to a couple other studios previously and were disappointed. We are happy to say Impact Martial

My daughter started working with Mr. Petrov when she was 5 years old and is now almost 8. She loves class and is determined to become a black belt. The training has been amazing for her. The staff is wonderful and truly focused on the students. (Their birthday parties are great as well!) Highly recommend!

Westchase Impact Martial Arts has been my children's martial arts studio for several years. The studio is always clean. The instructor, Mr Petrov, has been amazing. He's not only taught my children martial arts, but he's reinforced in them how to be good people. My daughter has had her birthday party here more than once, because they enjoy the parties so much. Mr and Mrs Petrov go above and beyond during graduation ceremonies, making my children feel so accomplished and proud of themselves. We actually don't live in the area anymore, but continue to travel in order to attend class at this studio

THERE ARE MUCH BETTER MARTIAL ARTS STUDIOS IN THE AREA!!! If you want someone who is trained to handle children, look at their credentials first!!

I signed my son up for the 3-5 year old class as something to get out his energy, not because I eventually want him to have a black belt one day. Big mistake. My 4 year old son was physically thrown out of class and had the door slammed behind him while the teacher shouted "do not come back to my class again"... Because he wasn't listening and was disruptive. I then got a follow up email stating he was not allowed back at his age
