Dr. Jelsema is a great example of someone who found their true calling in life! He established Jelsema Veterinary Clinic in 1998, a few years after earning his DVM degree from Michigan State University. As a vet, he creates such great relationships with clients, that many call him a friend first and a vet second.

Make sure your pet does not eat after 8 pm the night before the surgery, normal consumption of water is allowed. We will call you the day before your scheduled surgery appointment to confirm the time you will be dropping your pet off, give fasting instructions, and to answer any questions you might have.

We love our vet. Every visit has been pleasant, they do so well with our puppy. They explain everything comprehensively and figure out the nuiances of caring for each pet individually. We are excited for when we can actually go in and meet the doctors and assistants and techs that do so well with our Noelle!

I love Dr.Jelsema, haven't met the vet that saw my 3 dogs last week. It's not their fault but I felt very disconnected, not being able to go in with my dogs. Definitely wanted to be with them. I hope it gets back to normal soon.

They are very friendly and knowledgeable. I brought my family's new puppy in for a checkup and a round of shots. They provided a lot of useful information that I was not expecting but that will be very helpful as we learn to socialize and train the new member of our family. The vet gave me specific information about some behavioral traits our dog's breed could develop if we don't socialize her well. Later they followed up with a phone call to set up an appointment to pick up some medicine our dog will need. For this second visit I brought my children along as well as the puppy so that they could
