More than 30 years ago, Marin Formative Christian Preschool (MFCP) was founded by the members of the Lucas Valley Community Church as a way of providing the families in and around its surrounding neighborhoods with a quality preschool. Now, affiliated with Hillside Church of Marin, MFCP seeks to provide children ages 2 - 5 years old with a learning environment that is safe, nurturing, stimulating, creative and faith-based.
Developmentally appropriate activities and materials encourage children's fine and gross motor skills, language, cognitive, and social-emotional development and spiritual growth. Curriculum is theme-based. Independent, open-ended activities, along with teacher-directed projects and games incorporate the philosophies of many leading early childhood educators to create a well-balanced, age-appropriate play and academic environment.
