The Hill Preschool

During the school day teachers and students engage in a broad range of activities from circle time to learning activities to field trips and more. Their days are filled with education and fun! Each day, all of our classes have the opportunity to gather as a large group. They listen to stories, engage in music and movement, play games, and explore concepts of literacy and numeracy.

Please return your application via email to danielle.lacroix@thehillpreschool.org. The $100 nonrefundable application fee will be invoiced on receipt of emailed application for electronic payment. Applications are accepted up to 12 months in advance for the upcoming academic year. The Hill Preschool will continues to accept applications for waitlist and new positions as they open for the current academic year.

We require the following forms for all enrolled students at the start of every school year. All medical forms must be updated annually in order for The Hill Preschool to maintain compliance with DC Licensing Regulations. Students will not be allowed to attend The Hill Preschool unless all medical forms are current.

In case of snow or other inclement weather, HPS typically follows the decision of the DC Public Schools (DCPS) or our neighborhood private schools, St. Peter School or Capitol Hill Day School. HPS reserves the right to make decisions based on the safety and needs of our student/teacher community.

If other circumstances arise that may necessitate the closing of The Hill Preschool, the Director will make the decision as to whether HPS will close and notify families immediately.
