Since 1971, Amazing Life Games Preschool (ALG) has been teaching children ages 2.5 to 5 years of age in Washington, D.C. through PLAY. Young children learn best through play. At ALG, highly trained teachers support children's natural inclination for play by providing rich learning opportunities, while encouraging independence and social connection.
As a cooperative, families contribute their unique experiences and talents to the school by working in the classroom. Children leave ALG as open and eager learners who are ready to embrace, question, and contribute to their community.

Amazing Life Games Preschool was founded in 1971 by two early childhood educators in a church basement on 16th and Taylor Streets, NW. The school was named after a card file of favorite activities for children that the founders had collected from their own childhoods. These activities included many cooperative games, dramatic play ideas and art projects that are still utilized in the school today.
Natasha Nenadovic has taught at ALG since 1993. Born in Serbia, Natasha was a graduate of the Belgrade Medical School, where she earned a nursing title specializing in early childhood. She came to the U.S. as a nanny and the child she cared for attended ALG.
Once her contract ended as a nanny, Natasha was quickly hired by ALG, earned her CDA, and has since built up the science and math portions of the curriculum considerably with her interests in things that grow, fall, multiply, and decompose.Natasha has also taken classes at Living Stage Theatre and in Parent Effectiveness Training.

You can help us provide an even more enriching experience for all of our children by donating to Amazing Life Games Preschool. Funds raised are used to provide scholarships and enriching classroom materials and programs, and to improve our outdoor garden and gross motor space. ALG is a 501(c)(3) organization.

Promote healthy independence and resourcefulness while fostering children's imagination and intellect. Are led by talented and highly skilled teachers who have had long term involvement with the school.
At ALG teachers know that for social studies to make sense to young children, you start closest to home; you start with self and family and then you begin to ripple outwards. Every year then, we anchor our learning through first studying home and family and then moving increasingly outward to studying our community.
