A more "modern" spin on the Wisconsin supper club, but still has a retro vibe. Obviously a popular local spot. Three televisions at the bar. Booth seating available in the bar. Popcorn is available at the bar upon request; the machine really needed to be cleaned as the inside was coated with grease.
In the absence of Covid precautions in the restaurant, & because we preferred our entrees without a side of the Rona, we ordered drinks at the bar & opted to place a takeout order. The restaurant was crowded at 5:30.

Wouldn’t read my debit card (even though it’s new/no scratches) they typed it in manually still wouldn’t work so I had to pay cash..Called ahead to reserve or just get on a waitlist since now a day’s that’s what most restaurants are requiring and the lady which I believe is the owner was quite rude/not much helpful! Food was okay. Service was somewhat good. I ordered the prime rib but didn’t have that good of a taste.First time coming here with family & it will be the last.

We’ve been coming here for a while…we love the staff, the management- but one thing that stands out beside the by name staff is watching the kitchen staff take extra care washing down everything, I mean everything to ensure a clean cooking environment the next day for the next wave of customers

Super below average. Service was the best part and felt rushed..... milwaukee burger came out and was so ugly we contemplated sending it back. Soggy bread and falling apart. Soup was overly salty and bland. BLT had literal wedge lettuce on it which made it virtually impossible to eat and was very dry and barely had tomato. Haystack onion rings were soggy and impossible to eat even with a fork. Would rather have had the onions from a can at the grocery store. Cobb salad looked decent but not special at all. Mediocre way to spend a quarter of your day. We came here because other reviews said they had the best burgers in town. The burgers are clearly frozen. The standards in Janesville must be exceedingly low. Our service was conducted at a sloth like pace. We waited more than 15 minutes just to get drinks. A lunch for two of us took more than an hour and a half. I suppose this is ok for most of their cliental, who are obviously retired, but not for me. The final let down is the decor. This place feels like a dank basement from the 70's that new homeowners tried to remodel but didn't have

Excellent food. Ordered the burger with haystack onions and a side of the cheese curds. All delicious. Service was outstanding. Wish I remembered the servers name, she was great. Covid precautions listed here are misleading. No masks were worn and the place was packed. Partitions up between tables and it was pretty clean.

Great menu with a variety of Wisconsin favorites as well as traditional American grill and pub fare. Had perch which was excellent. Their cheese curds were done to perfection. Fried nicely but still squeaky on the inside. There's an art to doing cheese curds correctly and they did a GREAT job with them. Decent selection of wine and beer, including beer on tap, including local options.
Wait staff were very friendly despite the fact we cut it close to closing time. Recommend sitting on the patio if you can.
Plenty of parking and wheelchair accessible restaurant and patio.

I had heard this was a great place so we went there one night. They say their fried chicken is really good so that is what I got. I was a bit disappointed. It was very dry and not very much taste. I may have caught them on a bad night and have not been back to find out if it was or was not. Good luck and post if you find they are better than that.

Really wasn't super impressed by the Milwaukee Grill. The inside isn't very modern/comfortable. The waitress was very nice and did her job well, but besides that I wouldn't say anything was above average.
We did have a group of six so it took a while but maybe even still longer than it should have because we were there before the lunch rush.
I just decided to get the Harvest Salad and I'd say that it met my expectations. Nothing extraordinary but everything checked out. I feel like they gave me a gallon of dressing to add to it, so no shortage there..

We stopped by to grab some take-out cheese curds. Service was very quick and extremely nice. Restaurant was clean and we had nice conversation with other customers there while waiting on the cheese curds.
The default sauce of the cheese curds there is ranch. We also asked for chipotle and ketchup sauce.

My wife searched for restaurant near us and found this one with good reviews. I got the pan fried blue gill and she picked out the fish tacos. We split side salad which was pretty generous portion. Overall it was really good and paired nicely with local beer. With construction here, it might be a little hard to navigate around.

We were driving thru and stopped on a whim. We were seated right away. Server was friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. Food came out quick.
I had a vegetarian quesadilla and was only able to eat half, same with my Mother's burger enough food that we both took some home. Hubby had the meatloaf and mashed potatoes he finished his, it was that good.

Based on the recommendation from a coworker I took a date to Milwaukee Grill. I'm not from Janesville, but my date was, and I wanted to take her someplace local to her. It was a solid recommendation.

First we ordered the cheese curds. The cheese was a light white cheese and the breading didn't over power the cheese profile. My husband ordered the small Cobb salad and it came with a cup of soup. This is a good spot to eat between Madison and Illinois or Beloit -- we stopped here to meet family for dinner and it was good for several picky eaters.
