Just moved here this week, and the experience has been great! I moved all the way from Dallas, and Brenda Bellavia was beyond helpful and friendly - it made my move cross country much less stressful. Susan in the front office as well has been great, and I am so glad I chose The Merc as my new place!

I moved into the Merc last month and was pleasantly surprised by the efficiency and professionalism of everyone in the leasing office. Brenda, Khang and Jeff made everything seamless from start to finish, I was always able to get one of them on the phone anytime I called. At move-in the unit was perfectly updated and all my requests have been handled quickly. The Excellent Team went out of their way to ensure I was easily settled in my unit and familiar with the amenities.

I lived at The Merc from 2019-2020, as work required me to move out of state for a year. After completion of that requirement, I chose to move back to MA but specifically to The Merc because of Mrs. Brenda Bellavia. Both times I did business with her, she was attentive, professional, knowledgeable, listened carefully, and made herself available to answer all my questions. I recall having a great deal of questions the first time I moved here, and how she never made me feel like a bother or any question was silly. It's quite troublesome when I first contacted with the leasing team since I'm not at Waltham currently, but all the problems get fixed successfully in the end. Jeffrey is great. Very kind. Display genuine and enthusiastic interest in the candidates, and always reply emails quickly. Hope it will be a wonderful year living at the Merc.

I stayed at The Merc for 3 years and I have to say the best part about this apartment complex is the leasing office staff. I originally signed the lease with Jonathan and he made the process incredibly easy. Brenda, Karen, and Kim are just really awesome people to talk to and to get any problems you’re facing resolved. While some may complain that Jeffrey, the community manager, is too strict at times, I think he keeps the apartment complex more organized and secure. Overall, I truly enjoyed the time I spent at The Merc and would recommend it to anyone considering to rent.

I recently chose to rent at The Merc because of the choices they offered for apartment size, cleanliness and condition, quality of construction (hear minimal outside noise and no noise between floors) and, very importantly, the helpful, supportive staff. Jeff and Brenda have been attentive and accommodating, offering options and help when we needed it, as well as the rest of their team (Josh and Khang). It's been a very positive experience during a stressful move!

Ok...to be fair and balanced (compared to the disaster of a theatre behind this place)- the Merc is very nice! The talent is good and some has been great .
The only challenge is it is small....but so is the Bluebird in Nashville.
Perhaps selling 10 less tickets would help...but this is a gem in our city.
Here I would gladly pay for talent.....

"The Merc" is located in the historic Mercantile building just off of front street in the same complex area of the Old Town Community Theater. This hip and fun venue hosts live acts from Thursday - Sunday featuring live music of different genres - jazz, rock, blues, country and classical. It's inexpensive and a great way to enjoy live music. Note: You can purchase wine, beer and snacks at the Old Community concession area adjacent to the building.
