My alternator quit on my way to work, running off my battery I frantically searched for a repair shop down town. I stubbled across these guys and CA took great care of me. He pulled me right in, found the problem, quoted a rough price after running a few tests and promised me the vehicle back before end of day. I had it back by noon. Prices were good and everyone was friendly. Support local small business. Their customer service can’t be beat.

Rebuilt my starter in a few hours. They have rebuilt starters and alternator for me for over 30 years and never has one failed. I still own most all of them too! Forget a rebuild from autozone with lifetime warranty which you will replace many times in your lifetime, go with one done right the first time! These guys have been in business a really long time for a reason, plus your money stays local. A win-win! And no I don't work for them, I am a medical professional who's used them since the 1990s when I had a hard to get alternator fail 3 times before I took it to them, and never had a problem

Best customer service ever! I spoke to Charles on the phone, lamenting that my daughter's birthday party was the next day and this was no time to have a broken down car. He was friendly, courteous, and understanding. When I arrived right before closing, he confirmed the problem and immediately found and ordered the part. It was ready the next morning. I was recommended to Southern Armature by a friend. I had gotten a battery test from Oreily auto parts because my car wouldn’t start and they told me it was the alternator. Oreily quoted me an astronomical high price just for the alternator. After I spoke to my friend and he told me about Southern Armature, I called them right away. I gave them the make and model of my car and they were able to give me a estimated cost over the phone. This is a family run business that I have used for 30 years. They are all about starters and alternators. If you are into doing the work yourself like me you can just take your starter or alternator and they will rebuild it to look and perform as new. If you don't want to get greasy then drive on down and let them pull it and replace it. The charge is usually a fraction of the cost at a dealer.
