The basic Military Funeral Honors (MFH) ceremony consists of the folding and presentation of the United States flag to the veterans' family and the playing of Taps. The ceremony is performed by a funeral honors detail consisting of at least two members of the Armed Forces. The Funeral Honors rendered to you or your veteran will be determined by the status of the veteran.
The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) furnishes upon request, at no charge to the applicant, a Government headstone or marker for the unmarked grave of any deceased eligible veteran in any cemetery around the world, regardless of their date of death. When the grave is already marked, applicants will have the option to apply for either a traditional headstone or marker, or a new device (available spring 2009).

My Mom passed away a little over a month ago ... I just want everyone to know that the experience with Barber's Funeral Home was fantastic and very professional. My Mom looked beautiful and the people there were very helpful and considerate of all of us. I would definitely recommend this funeral home to anyone in the area. Scott was there for the family and it was a very pleasant experience under the circumstance of just losing your BEST friend and Mother. I am from out of town.

Terrible experience. The staff made an already difficult time even more difficult. A funeral home should show compassion for the family and the staff treated my deceased Dad's kids with total disrespect and zero concern and compassion. I do not recommend this funeral home at all. It's an experience I will never forget.

It was VERY BAD! Lots of issues when we arrived. They were not ready for us and made us sit outside. They wouldn't let us come in. Not to mention we are not from New York. When they did let us in, they had issues with our service dogs. They wanted copies of the paper work, which i believe is against the law. When we got past that issue they were refusing to show us where our loved one was. We asked where they were and they did nothing. I asked them in a stern voice and then started looking for them. No consideration for any one of us at this sad time, even though their website says they are compassionate
