Our reputation for providing the highest quality of service grew, and today we are privileged to serve hundreds of area families each year.
No matter if a death is sudden, or if it something that was a long time coming, the loss of a loved one makes us feel emotional and overwhelmed. No amount of preparation can fully prepare you for the loss of a loved one. When you are in a heightened emotional state, even the most basic decisions can seem staggering.
Traditionally, a burial service involves a visitation, followed by a funeral service in a church, or other place of worship. The casket is typically present at both these events, and it is your decision on whether to have the casket open or not. You have the option of having the remains interred (earth burial), or it may be entombed in a crypt inside a mausoleum (above ground burial).
Giving a meaningful, moving eulogy can be a nerve-wracking situation for even the most accomplished public speaker, but it need not be. How can you summarize somebody's life in a few short minutes, while being both somber and funny at the same time? Writing and delivering a eulogy is a therapeutic tool to help deal with your grief, and being chosen to give a eulogy is an honor and should be treated that way.

Kevin McInerny was very professional and thoughtful during the whole funeral arrangement process for my mother. He answered our many calls promptly. We had 2 funeral masses. One was in Elmira and the other in Hornell, where my mother was buried. He and his staff were there right up to the end of the day making everything run so smoothing. His attention to detail was amazing! We thank Kevin and his staff for making this day a very memorable one for our family.

It is hard to say you love a funeral parlor, but Kevin McInerny and his staff created the most respectful services for my family. From the start to finish, it was organized, thoughtful, it was kind, it was comforting. They incorporated all our wishes, and led us through a service befitting the patriarch of my family.
This was the first eulogy which I was responsible for, since it was my father, it was even more difficult. Kevin McInerny sat front and center and when I was nervous I spoke to him, his calming presence allowed me to go on.
