The path of life can be difficult. Things happen that we cannot control. We make choices that we later regret. Relationships deteriorate or end. Life becomes what we had not planned. We find ourselves discontented or distressed. Yet, there is hope and help. As a Christian and a Licensed Professional Counselor, it is my passion and purpose to help you overcome distress and thrive along the path of life.
I offer compassionate help for those with mental, spiritual, relational or emotional problems through psychotherapy and counseling. Also available are mental and/or behavioral health consultations when the focus is on a problem other than one's own mental or emotional state. For those who are functioning at a satisfactory level and yet wish to increase the personal and life satisfaction, personal growth sessions are available.

Services
It is important that you choose a professional with whom you are comfortable and confident. Many Christians seek help from a Christian counselor because they think that another Christian can understand more completely than can a non-Christian the importance of their faith in dealing with problems and faith issues.
As a Licensed Professional Counselor, I want to provide the most appropriate and effective service, or combination of services, to meet your needs. My education and experiences can be applied to assist you with you mental health, the mental health of another person, or becoming who and how you want to be, with a life that is profound.
In general, the longer a problem is avoided, the larger and more complicated it becomes. The idea of facing a problem is often more negative than actually dealing with it. Counseling helps you identify the issue, decide what you want to do about it, build the confidence and skills you need, and apply what you learn.
Counseling is appropriate for someone who is able to function adequately yet desires to make a personal or life change. Consider counseling if you are able to meet all of your work/school, home, social and self-care responsibilities but feel discontented or dissatisfied or do not feel like you are fulfilling your potential.
Psychotherapy is appropriate for someone who is in acute, intermittent, or long-term distress and is experiencing impairment in functioning. Consider psychotherapy if you cannot make yourself do what you need to in one or more areas of your life. You may have been through a sudden change, such as a divorce, the death of a loved one, or the onset of an illness.
