My friends and I stopped by here on New Year’s day for lunch as I was craving some south Indian food.
The food here is really yummy! I had the Idiyappam and Avial as well as Medhu vada. I loved them all. And the filter coffee reminded me of coffee in my favorite tiffin places in the South of India.

We ordered a takeout order of two chicken tikka masalas, one mild and one medium spicy. The dish was excessively buttery/creamy compared to many other Indian venues we've visited, which overwhelmed any spices or tomato that may have been added and resulted in a distinct lack of flavor and depth. Eating that much butter/cream really messes with your day too. Additionally, there was no difference in spice levels. Authentic South Indian Food. It was our first time at this restaurant. On a rainy day the rasam was warming and tasty. The Mysore masala chutney was just right. Their Samburna special dosa could easily feed two.
The service was courteous and prompt.
The owner stopped by to chat and offer his recommendations.
We came from Boston, NY and Pittsburgh and were very happy with our experience at Samburna.

This is a very traditional South Indian restaurant. The food is really good but don't expect much service. I would do take out. I really like their food - Kuli panniarum, and egg burgi with Paratha are my favorites

Ok -- place was PACKED when we arrived and we were concerned since it didn't appear anybody had any food in front of them. Also -- TONS of takeout orders going on. However we got seated in about 10 minutes. Staff was very very pleasant. Had to wait about 10 minutes extra for food but not an issue because EVERYBODY had food coming out. DELISH food, on par or better with our other favorite Indian place. Staff made great recommendations. We eat Indian often and this was especially good with some unique choices. We will be back!

I was really looking forward to trying this place. It was my first time and I tried ordering online but was having issues so I tried calling because I was getting groceries across the street then wanted to stop in and pick it up. They didn't answer multiple times so I did my shopping and attempted the online order again but was anxious because I wasn't sure if they were open because nobody was answering during open business hours and I hadn't seen that type of ordering platform so I got skeptical if it was legit. Decent vegetarian options. But food taste was pretty average. Most dishes had distinct coconut flavor may be due to oil. The seating was crammed up with too many tables in limited area. The ones closer to door must be avoided since cold air rushes in every time someone opens the door.

Fast and friendly service. All the foods are amazing. The mega dosa was my favorite. I would definitely come back to try other dishes sometime.

I am not sure if they have changed the shef or something, this time we had a really good experience unlike our last visit. After our last experience we didn't visit this restaurant for over a year and this time went just because of lack of an option. But to our surprise food was really good we ordered masala dosa, baby corn manchurian, veg kurma, chai and malabar parotta. Masala chai was awesome, Dosa was perfect crisp and veg kurma was close to what I got in Saravana bhavan once and was searching in Seattle forever.

Very good masala dosa. Go for the traditional the mega dosa IMO isn't worth the $5 extra. The mega had a ton of onions and over spiced I would give it a 2//5. The crispy masala dosa, traditional with a great not too spicy Dahl. Did lunch pickup and was ready when I arrived. The local Indian community has found this place so get your order in early.

Finally found what I wanted in Seattle "Mummy style Biryani" officially called as The Thalapakatti Biryani. It's so authentic, tastes exactly like one home made for all those who are away from mummy's biryani.
I loved it and for sure you all should.

Visited on (07/25) for dinner. Were told at the door that there was an hour wait. Honestly, the person at the door didnt seem interested for our business. Killed time roaming outside as there isn't much seating to wait. Went in at time, no water or silverware provided. Upon asking the water we got had something floating in it and still no silverware. No one was interested to take our order. Long wait for food with the drink missing despite asking it to be served sooner.
Food is okay-ish.
Check time - Manager couldn't find our order :) He had to go

Ok food with very limited seating. We had few different types of dosas in the group and there wasn’t anything exciting. They were not crispy.
The baby corn black pepper fry was different and tasted good.

We needed a catering order of breakfast for our house warming.
We ordered pongal, idly, vada, sambhar chutney.
They were the only restaurant to accept a morning order and able to prepare it in time as promised.
The food was packed carefully with double trays and cling wraps.
All our friends really loved the food. Especially the vada and sambhar. Thanks samburna !

Had to wait for more than 60 mins. Before I was in line, I was told that wait time would be around 30 mins. So frustrating. Would not recommend coming here if you value your time. PLEASE AVOID THIS PLACE. Would not come here again.

We were so glad to eat here in person after falling in love with their excellent southern-Indian cuisine during the takeout-only days! Friendly service and such rich, enthralling flavors! I highly recommend the saffron-infused Badam Milk for a dessert-like beverage treat!

I came by for a Friday lunch. Lots of people came in and out picking up take out orders but there was plenty of space inside to sit and eat.

I tried a masala dosa and the palak paneer. Dosa was perfectly crispy on the outside and the potato filling and chutneys were so flavorful. Rice came with the paneer. The rice was perfectly fluffy and palak gravy was so creamy and rich. Absolutely get a dosa!

Tried crab curry (Nandu Curry) for the first time ever here. It was very tasty. Goat bone broth was yummy. My kids enjoyed indo Chinese version of chicken lolli pop. Overall service was great

We went there after seeing Yelp review. My family and I certainly did not like the dosa nor the Sambar. The paneer dosa had little to no paneer and my kiddo did not like. All other dosa was too much potato and hardly any taste. I am suspicious about the rating and not coming back for couple of years to this place until I see at least 200+ reviews with true ratings over 4 stars.

Excellent service and amazing food. The menu is very different from the regular Indian restaurant menu. If you want to explore South Indian food that is more than idly and dosas, this is the place to go check out.

Their Tamil style biryani excellent and sambhar is to die for.

If you are looking for Good Chettinad food,this is a place for you. Place was pretty packed on Saturday eve, so try an get reservation.
We ordered chicken chettinad, Mysore masala dosa, fish fry, baby corn Manchuria and coffee. Very thing ordered was tasty but my favorite was the chicken and fish,

Good customer service, was really in the mood for good takeaway curry but they missed the mark. Samosa were very good these two gave them 2 stars. Butter chicken & Palak curry were almost tasteless because they were "watered" down. Very runny and not from milk or cream but as if water was added to increase servings.
Rice was cold. Chappathi bread was was slightly undercooked. Hard pass on reorder.

I wanted Medhu Vada and brought us to this place. We haven't been back here for a while now and decided to get dinner along with Medhu Vada.

We got 2 Medhu Vadai, Mysore masala dosa, Chilli Onion Uthappam, Chicken Lollipop (Spicy & Crispy), Samburna Goat Curry, Malabar parota, and Chicken 65 Biryani.

Medhu Vada was great, I ate one as soon as we picked up the food, before driving back home. Samburna goat curry was black pepper based which we loved a lot.

Excellent place for Indian cuisine! I have ordered take-out several times and they always give me a wonderful dish. Tonight, I ordered Chicken Noodles and they were so good I had to call them up and thank them for the meal.

I am glad I found Samburna because their Indian cuisine is the best I have had while living in this state.

Ordered delivery the other night had the chicken curry (Melagu Kozhi Curry) and their Roti (Malabar Parotta). The chicken is bone in. The chicken was amazing so tender , an amazing pepper chicken that I recommend. The Parotta was excellent as well, but would have been better if dining in as fried breads are best within 10 min of cooking.
