Tim, the current owner started working at K B Motors in 1987. In 2001, Tim bought K B Motors from the original owner inheriting the customer base. That customer base keeps coming back and referring new customers because Tim runs an honest shop. Our mechanics put in the time properly diagnosis and repair customers vehicles.

Fantastic place to get your car worked on. Nice, easy to talk to people who aren’t trying to rip anyone off. Work was done quickly and on schedule.
The mechanic at the end actually warned me about a local (nationwide chain) tire shop. He was very kind about it and didn’t want to bad mouth anyone. I should have listened to him. The tire guys over torqued a lug nut and snapped a wheel barring stud.
Go to K-B Motors. You will be treated well.

Needing an oil change and wanting to try some place a little closer to home, I had heard about KB Motors from several neighbors. I called and made an appointment for a Friday morning.
The staff were kind and honest about all of their prices; they only made recommendations for what was absolutely necessary. Besides an oil change, I ended up needing new air filters for my car.
All in all, I'll happily bring my car here for my standard oil changes.

I dropped off my 1996 Chevy silverado to have the timing adjusted which most other mechanic shops wouldn't even touch and they had my truck fixed in a couple of hours for $130. This is a mechanic shop that I plan on coming back to for my truck problems. This mechanic shop is small so they don't have a lot of time for big time consuming problems but still definitely give them a call and ask so you can get a rough price check or just to see where you can get that problem fixed at.

Best kept secret in Sacramento when it comes to automotive repair! Tim & Co are the best and don't charge you an arm and leg for repairs! Very friendly and fast! I brought my car in the morning for spark plug replacement and it was done by 2! He also showed me the old spark plugs which definitely had signs of failure. Thanks Tim! I know where to come to in the future in case my car ever needs any TLC!

I found this place by mistake 15 or so years ago..I use to own a company they did all the work on my vans and my personal car. My motorhome and now my trailer..There is not much they don't work on..
They have worked omg my friends cars, and company trucks from my now work..Ethan Conrad Properties.He does all their service vehicles..
I recommend this place its a hometown place..

I am from Chico, CA, 90 miles north of Sacramento. I am disable and came down for a doctor appointment with my specialist, and once I pulled off the freeway here, my car started having this loud knocking sound in the engine (2002 Ford Focus). I pulled off the freeway and opened the hood and my reservoir to my radiator was boiling. There was no indicator on my dash there was a problem. I feared I had a major engine failure so far from home. I let it cool and luckily I had a 1/2 gal of water in my trunk. These guys are honest and do excellent work! Took my truck to another shop to get the brakes checked out, I was told I need my front and rear brakes redone which they quoted me upwards of around $1300. I decided to take it in to K-B Motors to get a second opinion. Turns out the rear drums were perfectly fine just needed some cleaning, and the front needed to be replaced. That alone saved me around $800 right there. Fast forward to a month later, I needed some suspension work done so I ordered the parts myself because I wanted a certain brand of shocks. Best mechanic shop in the Sacramento area. I've sadly had to take many cars there for numerous issues and not only are they professional, courteous, as quick as can be, and honest with pricing giving you no run around. Went in for an oil change and paid about 50 bucks. The man at the front desk that helped me was friendly and did the oil change himself in about 20 minutes, if that. After the service he told me that if I buy an air filter and bring it in, they would put it in no problem because I can get them cheap at AutoZone. That was much appreciated since I'm a broke college student and always looking save a little money. Overall, great experience.

I'm that dummy that always takes her car to the dealership to have it serviced. Thanks to a dear friend's recommendation to take my vehicle to K-B Motors, I will no longer be that dum-dum with an empty wallet. Tim was friendly, honest, replaced my breaks and spark plugs in a timely manner. His prices were fair and didn't deviate from his quote. He even did me a huge favor by fixing my front bumper that popped out due to poor parallel parking on my part. He was also kind and patient enough to leave his shop open after hours for twenty minutes so that I could pick up my car.

I had called and came in same day. To follow up on what the dealerships recommendations were to repair a leaking oil pan. KB motors couldn't find anything wrong with my oil pan. Offered to put my car back on the lifts to show me. He also very explained to me what may be going on with my car loosing oil and gave me suggestions. I will definitely be coming back here for service!

I've been here a couple of times. The mechanics put in a new timing belt and low and behold, didn't find 50 million other things wrong with my car! It was nice to be in and out. I've also gone to him when my car didn't smog and was a gross polluter. He, again, steered me right and told me where to get help instead of doing any work on the car for me. He is a real nice guy who just shines with trustworthiness. I highly recommend.
