I joined HQ primarily to use their basketball courts. Immediately after joining they closed off half the courts to make more money off of their extra charges gymnastics for children and the other quarter of the area for some children's training camp. The remaining half of the basketball courts are used hours a day from afternoon until mid-evening for more children's activities. Perhaps HQ should charge the parents 3 times the membership fees to build separate facilities to babysit their damn kids, rather than shortchanging people who pay to use the facilities.

I really like this gym--it's spacious, comfortable, and clean--the pool is lovely and with natural light coming in from the windows. Memberships are relatively affordable. The hours are great, they have a cafe and work space and the staff are generally very friendly.
However, I was there recently changing in the women's locker room along with other females getting changed after they had swam or worked out and there was a maintenance guy inside the locker room trying to fix the steam room/sauna! I couldn't believe it--there were multiple women inside the locker room and no warning

Health quest profits at the expense of its members. They allow camp to block the courts for most of the day profiting off the campers while denying paying members. Even if they only have a few campers and aren't using the courts they still block the courts. They don't publish this on their schedule to make it look like the courts are easily accessible. Why can't time be blocked for camp and communicated properly. Why are they penalizing members. Go play tag outdoors.
Also, they have a tendency to enforce rules during off peak times but have zero control during peak hours. It is

This is my favorite health club ever! They have everything you could wish for and then some - weights, cardio equipment, multiple rooms for fitness group classes, indoor pool, outdoor pool, a track, basketball courts, martial arts, a gymnastics center, child care, a bistro and and and. The facility is always super clean and the staff is very friendly. The trainers all have 4 year degrees. The club regularly offers special events to encourage you to try new activities or just to socialize. The fees are high but reasonable for what is being offered.

So if you have little kids this is the place for you. If you are just a single guy or gal looking for a place to work out, eh... it's okay. It's expensive if you are just looking for a basic place to get a good work out in and you're not going to use the pool (again tons of kids) or join classes. If you don't have kids, you are basically paying for all the amenities that families use. It's the only gig in town so you are forced to go here or PF. It would be great if they had tiered memberships which you pay for what you actually use. I stopped using my membership

The center is alright. Parking is absolute hell! The personal trainers are great however if you need a refund or something got messed up and they over charged you, you can forget seeing that money any time soon. They charged me 500 dollars for a service I didn't agree to and it's been over a week and I still have yet to get my money back. Also if you're trying to reach someone there forget that too. No one answers their damn phones. Lastly check the food before you buy it, they had expired food out!

The BEST gym around!! Super clean, lots of equipment, great classes and instructors, beautifully renovated locker rooms, complimentary towel service, pool/hot tub, steam room/sauna, track, basketball courts, lounge, cafe, childcare, and amazing members. So many amenities at a reasonable price. Definitely worth the cost. The other gyms in the area are cheaper, but also horrible (PF, retro, etc). I absolutely love it here!!

Pretty good gym The remodel is nice. The machines, TVs are nicely set up. The staff seems snooty, like they are doing you a favor by letting you enter. Not a big deal, as I'm not there to make friends or socialize. The biggest downside is that ratty Salute cafe. Clueless behind the counter, and checking out with a simple order or a water takes way to long. The salads and pre-prepared food looks like they've been there for days, collecting god-knows-what bacteria. Grab a bite before or after your workout outside the club. Summary: Good club, albeit a little pricey, but that's OK in

I used to go there with my wife and kids. Great facility. Good value at that time because most of family taking multiple classes. We all quit when kids got older except for wife who likes the classes . She pays a little over $100 a month and 3 of us go to pf for $30. It burns my wife up that she has been loyal member for years and gets no extras, as opposed to a friend who has joined and quit several times and always gets incentives each time she re joins.

The facility is great! The staff is so so. The monthly charges are very high, the food in the cafe is bad and way over priced! They sell it by giving you classes included. For most guys and gals that just want to work out in the gym we have to pay for the class rats. But when they tear up a perfectly good side walk to put pavers goes to show we are being charged to much. One employee goes on to tell me it adds nice curb appeal. Is it up for sale?
Really! it is a complete waste of money and a slap in the faces of the people that pay!
Needless to say I'm taking my 189 per month and moving

This is a beautiful gym and has great options for childcare and things to do with young children. I do however, feel like the staff members are cold and unprofessional. I wasn't honored a 5 day pass after I received it from a manager I spoke with when I was interested in joining, because "people were abusing the system". So instead of coming up with a better system, they don't offer free trials anymore. I thought this was strange considering the amount of money one needs to pay to join. I'd rather join a smaller gym where the staff is happy to accommodate you and are more

This is a really nice gym. It's almost like you're going to a spa! The thing I like most about this gym is the fact that it's a family gym. They have nice child care area with a lot of activities for the kids. Membership is pricey, but family membership includes 2 dance, 1 gymnastics, 1 martial arts, and 1 all sports classes per child. They also have Kids Night Out events.
It's convenient for me to be able to drop off my daughter for dance class and be able to get a workout in at the same time. There are plenty of classes to choose from throughout the day which is good for

Recent remodel of men's locker room a total disaster. After no sauna for months, temporary locker room is beyond really bad. I'd definitely avoid until it is done.
By all accounts, newly remodeled woman's locker room is nice, but it took months and months and months beyond what was originally expected
Communication from management - who tend to be standoffish in good times - has been surprisingly poor. It almost seems like they don't ready even care to try.
Recent push towards group training had been really disruptive to regular members with equipment 'off limits

I was an original charter member of this club but left after a few years. The facility is itself has good equipment but the staff is the the problem. Particulary their front office staff. The problem is the the ownership does not convey to the staff the proper decorum when dealing with individual members. I had been threatened verbally by two members of the staff and with someone in my face such that I was scared and this is what forced me to leave since the management did not address this at all.

I read through many of the reviews before deciding to post. After begging my husband for 4 years he allowed me to join the club and we are grateful we did.
For starters Tracy at the front desk is wonderful. She knows all the customers and works to provide a comfortable atmosphere. She is eyes and ears and always is friendly.
Our monthly fee is higher than most gyms but it affords our family experiences they would normally not have. The classes for children are excellent. We love Miss MaryAnn.
My second child has been working with Chris in the gym and we see good progress. I am hopeful the

I almost think it's a slight insult to refer to Healthquest as a gym, because it really is so much more than that. The place is absolutely massive and well kept. Not only do they have a huge gym, there's a childcare facility, karate/gymnastics area, swimming pool, indoor track, full basketball court, etc. You get the picture - they pretty much have everything. There's even a full snack bar here.
There can be a ton of people here and the place doesn't even feel incredibly packed. It really is that big. I was a member here for a while - the last time I was here I was

Let me preface this by saying that I was a member of Healthquest for nearly a decade; I have been through literally 1000's of workouts here, and have formed a strong opinion about the place.
First, is that for your nearly $100 a month the place has very bad customer service and value. Exercise machines, notably the cardio equipment, is often either completely broken or is in need or repair. They do not employ anybody to go around and disinfect, lubricate, or adjust equipment on any kind of a regular basis. Also, a number of the weigh machines seem to be of second quality nature; like factory

The best gym I've every been to.
They maintain the facility at a very high level.
The weight room is fantastic. The locker rooms are impecable.
The instructors are very good.
My only complaint would be that the treadmills are broken down and in constant dis-repair. It seems that working treadmills is not a priority.
Otherwise, this is a great place.
