Family law matters are some of the most serious and emotionally charged matters that you will ever face. There is a lot on the line: your family dynamics, your children, your assets, and your income. There are also complicated legal rules and protocols that can be frustrating. For over 25 years, Crouse Erickson has exclusively practiced family law in Spokane County, a rarity among law firms in this area.
We are now the largest exclusive family law firm in the county. Prepared for anything and everything that may arise in your case. The attorney who wins the case is the one who puts in the most time and effort. That's us. We put in long hours and provide the high-quality work necessary to make a case successful.

Services
Since 1993, family law representation has been our exclusive area of practice. Such focus is virtually unavailable elsewhere in Spokane County and this exclusive experience has repeatedly delivered exceptional results for our clients. Since the firm was founded, our priority has always centered on our clients.
He wasn't always drawn to law-in fact he was accepted into medical school. However, a local prosecutor encouraged him to think about law school and after he applied to Gonzaga University School of Law, he received the Thomas More Scholarship (a full scholarship). His career path was thus decided. In 1991 he won the Linden Cup competition at the Gonzaga University School of Law as the law school's best oral advocate.
Alison Erickson is a graduate of Gonzaga Law School whose practice focuses exclusively on family law. At Gonzaga Law School she was a merit scholar. If you asked Alison what she most enjoys about her job as a family lawyer, she would say that she enjoys crafting creative solutions to her clients' problems.
Evan Dobbs is an Associate Attorney with Crouse Erickson. Evan earned his undergraduate degree from Gonzaga University, graduating Magna Cum Laude, and his J.D. from the University of Washington School of Law. While at UW Law, Evan served as Managing Editor for the Washington Law Review. Evan also served as a Extern for the Honorable Kevin Korsmo of the Washington State Court of Appeals, Division III.
Jacob Allen graduated from the Gonzaga University School of Law. During law school, Jacob excelled in the Clarke Cup Oral Argument competition, was admitted to Gonzaga Law Review's editorial staff, and was elected as the Development Chair of Gonzaga Law Review. During law school, Jacob began actively working to ensure fair and equal access to the courts for all residents, regardless of income.

I cannot say enough positive things about David Crouse and Associates. We were fortunate enough to retain Mr. Crouse's services several years ago, and he has fought tooth and nail for us in ongoing custody issues and parenting plan modifications, both major and minor. Mr. Course handled each and every dispute with the same professionalism and compassion as he did when he handled the big stuff in the beginning, and never once did we feel like our issues didn't matter to him. He dotted every 'i' and crossed every 't' and even after my case was fully resolved, I can still see the benefits of hiring

We hired Alison to draft and finalize our wills and our advance directives. Alison was complete in her preparation and asked the questions necessary to thoroughly guide our decision and drafting process. She effectively guided us through all the steps necessary to complete this sometimes difficult task with confidence and peace of mind.

My first experience with Crouse Erickson was with Dalton Reynolds. Dalton came to my hearing unprepared and spent most of his time being told by the commissioner that he had not correctly followed procedure. For the second hearing, I called and called for days and was finally told a couple days before the hearing that Dalton was "not cut out for family law" and was no longer with the firm. David Crouse took over, charged a higher amount, and spent a long time on the phone telling long winded stories and charging me for them. Then they passed my case to Robert Wright, and to his credit, he worked

Critical: Professionalism, Quality, Responsiveness
Receptionist need to take some courses in customer service skills. Completely rude. As if we aren’t upset enough going through a divorce. You don’t need to add any extra. So dull and was no help. I was extremely polite and said thank you. Hung up on me. Taking my business elsewhere.

I had the opportunity to hire Evan Dobbs as my lawyer for my custody case. He was direct, patient, helpful, friendly, amazing, and was extremely efficient in the time he was given to present my case despite the stack of papers, evidence, and texts he was given to work with. The entire office staff themselves were also friendly. Naturally custody cases are stressful, Evan and another associate Sheylle were so compassionate and did their best in supporting me legally and even emotionally when I really needed it. Evan helped me win my case and took the weight and fear off of my shoulders. I will absolutely

Heather Hoover is excellent. She is clear and concise. If you're looking for an attorney to tell you what you want to hear at all times, this is definitely not the law firm for you. She stripped all the emotions out of it and was all business. She crunched numbers, analyzed the court strategy and created a game plan that ultimately resulted in us prevailing in court. If you're looking for warm and fuzzy, long drawn out emails or phone calls, and hugs-- again, not the firm for you. She was kind and extremely responsive, but displayed upmost level of professionalism.

In my time working with an attorney at this company by the name of Dalton J. Reynolds, I have had only the most positive experience in what is otherwise a very tough time.
This attorney is a hard worker, getting every detail of the case to fully understand the situation and does so very professionally, delicately, and compassionately, often times working very long hours. He puts his heart into these family cases to ensure the best foot is always placed forward. He truly cares about the clients he works with and takes everything into consideration. He conducts his time and his work ethic very professionally

I hired Alison Erickson in February of 2019 for a very complicated, emotional custody case. Alison did an excellent job of representing me. Her communication was clear and direct at all times and I truly felt that she cared about me and my daughter throughout the process. I would highly recommend Alison Erickson to anyone in need of a family law attorney. Her fairness, compassion, and extensive knowledge of family law relieved so much stress and anxiety during a tough and tumultuous period in our lives.

The 1st thing I would like to say is WOW! I contacted Heather over 2 years ago from North Carolina and opened a custody case against my abusive and neglectful ex-wife who then lived in Spokane. Heather was very helpful and very creative in her approach to the case. She never gave me empty promises and was always very straight forward. Her assistant Elizabeth was always very thoughtful and pleasant to work with. What an amazing person.
