Counseling is to strive for change, to find strength, and to experience growth. And it takes courage to be actively involved and willing to work on your life challenges such as anxiety, stress, relationship issues, or life transitions. Striving for change in any of these areas is the expression of your curiosity or may be a deeper necessity to explore the possibilities for enhancing the quality of your life.

In either case, my counseling practice is committed to ensure a joint effort in a supportive and therapeutic climate in which constructive change can occur. As a counselor, I understand that the struggles involved in working through one's barrier are balanced with the benefits of embracing greater sense of well-being.
Services
Since I am in a solo practice, I do not provide emergency coverage. If an emergency arises for which the client or his/her guardian feels immediate attention is necessary, the client or the guardian needs to contact the emergency services in the community for those services. I will follow those emergency services with counseling and support to the client or the client's family.
I schedule 45-minute sessions with clients usually once per week at a time we agree on. If you arrive late for an appointment, we will only be able to meet for the remaining time of our scheduled 45 minutes. Sometimes I will meet more or less than once per week if that is consistent with a treatment plan we both agree to.
I treat any information shared with me during sessions with great respect and confidentiality. You are entitled to confidentiality and that privilege is protected both by State law and by the American Counseling Association's code of ethics. If you are in treatment with another clinician, such as a physician who is monitoring medication, I will ask for your permission to speak with him or her so as to facilitate optimal treatment.

Do not waste your time with this one. She did not help with any issues, made me read a children's book (I'm in my 40's), wasn't interested in or knowledgeable in areas of her expertise. A psych major would know better. Wish I didn't waste my money!
