How do you go from feeling overwhelmed and lost to having a clear sense of knowing and understanding yourself? Contemplating this journey informs my work as a psychotherapist. In my experience, the single most important factor that leads to significant change is the development of a trusting patient-therapist relationship.

Establishing this trusting relationship can have a profound impact on someone's life by helping them overcome past dysfunctional relationships so they can form trusting relationships with others in the future. It allows you to see yourself differently and consider this new sense of self. I liken therapy to reorganizing heavy furniture in a room and, in some cases, getting rid of pieces altogether.
Services
As a licensed psychologist, my practice focuses on guiding patients to understand the underlying causes of whatever brings them to me. I offer my patients a variety of tools and strategies to help them feel better about their lives. People come in for a host of reasons. My intention and focus are to help people sort out what's bothering them and come up with the best ways to address those issues.
I work with a wide range of emotional and behavioral issues, providing services that span from therapy for depression and grief to parenting support and couples therapy. In a comfortable and supportive atmosphere, I tailor my treatment approach according to the needs of the individual to help them attain their treatment goals.
Rates: Please contact me to discuss fees for my service. When insurance options for reimbursement are limited or a patient doesn't have insurance, I'm willing to discuss the possibility of fee reduction. Insurance: I do not accept insurance, but I provide a statement for services rendered which can be submitted to health insurance providers for reimbursement.
I may use or disclose your protected health information (PHI), for treatment, payment, and health care operations purposes with your written authorization. An example of treatment would be when I consult with another health care provider, such as your family physician or another psychologist.

Examples of payment are when I disclose your PHI to your health insurer to obtain reimbursement for your health care or to determine eligibility or coverage.Examples of health care operations are quality assessment and improvement activities, business-related matters such as audits and administrative services, and case management and care coordination.

I've been very fortunate to have the opportunity to consult with Dr. Post the past several months during a time I'm going through major life transitions emotionally and medically. Dr. Post continuously provides such a safe place for me to share all I am feeling , all my fears and uncertainties which would be hard to say out loud if not for her very nurturing , attentive and kind way of showing up for me each time we talk. Dr. Post has such a professional ,understanding and supportive style while gently guiding me that allows me to feel I'm not only heard and cared for but that

Instead of couple's therapy this person is seeing my SO individually and apparently is ruining a formerly healthy and kind man.
I couldn't put my finger on it, but I noticed a drastic difference in SO's mood over last few months.
He started having angry outbursts that came out of nowhere.
He started rewriting our history together.
Finally it came out that he was seeing this person for therapy but never told me.
So our relationship is over now and I'm stuck for a little while longer around a person who acts furious and irrational.
What a great result from this person and her

Dr. Post worked with me for a period of about a year and in that time I found her to be kind, considerate, an ultimate professional and a real lifesaver in terms of helping me understand how to turn my life around. She gently guided me towards an understanding of how some of my behaviors were preventing me from having the kind of relationship I hoped to have, and in how to become more confident about my own voice. I have always looked forward to our sessions and hearing her insights - I'm so glad I found such a competent and nurturing professional.

Dr. Post is a wonderful psychologist and counselor who has helped me work through many issues with patience and determination including, divorce, bad finances, overweight, career uncertainty, depression, and re-entering the dating world. She has worked with me individually, and provided resources and referrals for additional insight as she thought would be helpful. She is truly committed to helping each patient improve their life with all the resources she can think of, with no professional ego whatsoever. With her constant support, I have come out on the other side a much better and stronger person

The initial phone call was fine. The initial visit was fine. Then somehow her life got too busy and I was dumped. My questions about what was happening was met with anger and yelling. Totally unprofessional. Don't waste your time. There are too many good therapists out there.
