Great atmosphere, good kids and families. Master Sullivan and his wife Alicia run a great program here that's inclusive for all ages and skill levels.
My son has been attending for a couple years now and is hooked! Competing at tournaments and coming home with medals, smiles and new found confidence. Thank you, DMA, for all that you do.

We've had a wonderful experience at DMA. Master Sullivan is a great teacher, and very good with children. He holds them to a high standard of effort and behavior but manages to do this without ever being harsh (it's impressive). We love how the more experienced students help the new ones. Our son, who is 7, wants to go every day. The academy is well run and has a positive, warm atmosphere, while still providing serious, focused training. We highly recommend it.

The best school/do-jang I've ever attended. I decided to join to learn a new martial art outside of boxing and I've made this my new home. Absolutely no egos, everyone of higher rank answer any questions I have towards my growth as a martial artist, and Sensei Sullivan is a very outstanding instructor. Cost is affordable and overall a great place to learn and train.

I teach Taekwondo at a local university but wanted a place to train with my kids, build my TKD skill and learn Hapkido. Decatur Martial Arts Academy was a great find. Master Sullivan runs a quality school and stays active at the local, national and international levels. Classes are open to all ages. Parents you can drop off your kids or, better yet, join in. We've several families that work out together.

I earned my TaeKwonDo black belt in another city, so when I moved to Atlanta I had experience enough to know what a good martial arts school feels like. I visited many all across the city, believed this school to be the best, and still believe it after nearly 10 years of being there. Great teaching, great community of students (kids AND adults!), and great workout!

Master Sullivan is a good teacher the only thing I dislike is when you sign a contract you're locked it. There is no way out the contract even if you move. For that reason I'm pissed off and I'll be looking for another teacher for me and my son. I have no hard feelings towards the academy in any way. Like I said before master Sullivan is a good teacher I have nothing but respect for him and the academy. It's just that contract I can't get out of it and I haven't been to class in almost two months. Yet I still get charged the academy is way across town to far for me to make that drive. I submitted

Per the one negative review of the school, that person nor any of her family members ever attended classes at Decatur Martial Arts Academy; her profile is less than 6 months old and gives every appearance of being bogus. Troll.
