Tsunami Mixed Martial Arts
Get in shape with Fitness Cardio Kickboxing! Improve your stamina, coordination, and flexibility while burning calories as you build lean muscle! BJJ revolves around the concept that a smaller, weaker person can successfully defend him/herself against a bigger, stronger, heavier opponent by using leverage and weight distribution, taking the fight to the ground and using a number of holds and submissions.

We've been coming to Tsunami for about 6 months and our son loves it! The instructors are not only skilled and disciplined, but they are fun and connect with the kids. They teach the. This place has been a game changer for me! Not only are the work-outs incredible, but I'm truly learning the right techniques.

Very family friendly environment. The instructors are thoughtful and capable. It's still a growing gym so sometimes your partner may be a beginner or you may have to practice the basics, but it's about the community and the results you get are going to be determined by what effort you focus on yourself.
Update: I've been going to Tsunami for two years now and felt compelled to give a more detailed summary about Tsunami and why it's a great gym. I've tried every class now and all of the instructors are very experienced and have an eye for safety and adapting their feedback to the needs of the students

I loved my time at Tsunami. Sadly, I had to move for work and I severely miss the people here. If you are interested in trying BJJ (or any other class), then I highly recommend you do it here, especially if you are hesitant or shy. All of the coaches, staff, and students are welcoming and are eager to help you learn. This place has the gamut of people that live their life for the sport to people that use it as a stress relieving hobby and there is no judgment on where you sit on this spectrum. As a bonus, this place and the people there helped me get into the best shape of my life.

My daughters (10 & 8) have been practicing Brazilian jiu-jitsu for over 2 years at Tsunami. The coaches are very accomplished and professional. They know how to teach skills in a fun and rigorous format that my girls really enjoy. I am amazed with the complexity of this sport and how well the coaches adjust their instruction to teach the diverse ages, abilities, and personalities in the children's classes. Aside from learning jiu-jitsu, both my children and I have really appreciated the strong, supportive relationships we have developed with the Tsunami staff and other attending families. If you

I love Tsunami Mixed Martial Arts! Owner Coach Paul and his amazing staff and coaching team is incredible. I've been a member for 2 years and am planning on being a member forever. I take cardio kickboxing and am extremely happy with my fitness level improvements and maintenance. I actually love going to workout!

I have trained muay thai here for the past year. Tsunami has great people, strong instructors, and a respectful, welcoming environment. I love walking through the doors and leaving everything else behind to train.
Highest possible recommendation if you live in the area and you want martial arts instruction.

This place has been a game changer for me! Not only are the work-outs incredible, but I'm truly learning the right techniques. Each coach is really intentional about breaking things down and pushing us to get better results. Tsunami is like family at this point. It's the first place I get excited to go sweat!

Tsunami has been an integral part of our family for over 3 years now. They are kind, welcoming, professional, organized and talented. They don’t just teach martial arts well; they teach being a good citizen. Our daughter has learned so much. The parents can kick box or do Muay Thai. Even during the COVId 19 pandemic they have been great at being safe, offering alternatives for virtual classes and communicating at a high level. We can’t recommend this gym enough. Coach Paul and his team have created a very special place in our community. If you’re shopping for an MMA gym for a child, yourself

Outstanding school. I can't say enough positive things about how conscientious and practical the coaches and staff are, or about how positive the environment is. As a business, they're thoughtful, well-organized, and have exceptional professional integrity. As instructors, they are technically excellent and focused entirely on students' growth. Tsunami really is its own family.

Love the team and my experience at Tsunami MMA! My wife introduced me to the gym for kickboxing classes and we had a wonderful time working out during the classes. The gym owners and trainers did an excellent job of taking individualized time with people during class to make sure your technique can improve and how to get better. We haven't been in a while because we moved to a different neighborhood farther away, but I would love to get back there to see the new location and cross-train.
If you're considering visiting or joining the gym, absolutely do it. You'll feel great, stronger, and learn

I tried a few different places to start training BJJ. I chose this place for a few reason. 1) Everyone in the class from the instructor to fellow students are awesome and very helpful. 2) They've got a lot of different classes if I want to try anything else. At the moment it's just bjj but I can see myself taking a few others just to try them out. 3) They have a number of different bjj classes for varying skill levels. 4) The place is small enough to feel like a local gym but large enough to attract a diverse group of folks. Most importantly, the bjj classes aren't huge but

I decided to give Tsunami a try after my boyfriend who does jiu jitsu there (and loves it!) told me about cardio kickboxing classes. I considered myself a pretty fit person so I wasn’t intimidades by the class, little did I know the class was absolutely brutal. It was SUCH a good workout! It was extremely challenging because all of the coaches at Tsunami push you to your limits because they want you to get stronger and better. Since then, I’ve been going 4-5 times per week because I LOVE their classes! The coaches are great people who are passionate about what they do. They’re so helpful

I had to update my review. Let me start off by saying that this establishment is great but the owner, Paul, may need some management skills since he is also the manager. He angrily spoke at one of our practices because there was an apparent incident of "injury". The woman who was "injured" tried to paint the guy to be rough to me. I've sparred with this guy and he is not out to hurt anyone. She sounded salty because he swept her and she didn't like that, and she is telling her side of the story to anyone who would listen. Instead of the owner listening to both sides

This review is for the no-gi class taught by Mohammad. I'm an out of towner that came in to drop-in for two classes while visiting. Having trained at multiple gyms in New York and now in San Francisco over the last 5 years, I wasn't sure what to expect walking into Tsunami, but I was pleasantly surprised!

First, the gym/mats/locker rooms are all clean and in great shape (just to get that out of the way). The class size was around 12-15 students and everyone was super friendly and welcoming.

Mohammad is an active and accomplished competitive grappler, and as such, he is the exact

Probably the best bjj gym in Atlanta for beginners. It is a newer gym and most of the students just started, which makes it possible for the instructors to focus heavily on fundamentals, making it an exceptional place to start bjj. Anna and Mohammad are both amazing and very detail oriented in their instruction.
