Kum Sung Martial Arts
Between the ages of 12 and 18 years of age, there are many changes in teens lives, both physical and emotional. This is an important time for them to weave the pattern of self-discipline and self respect both for themselves and others. Adult classes differ greatly from all other age categories. Although everyone in the group is taught the same kicks, punches, weapons and forms, they are taught in a manner that will best benefit the individual.

At KumSung the adult programs are designed to fit your needs, interests and most importantly your health as an adult. Kum Sung Karate and the Master Kum Sung Martial Arts Philosophy, is the culmination of more than 40 years of experience and development by Grand Master Kum Sung. He has trained literally thousands of students, including national champions, military forces in Europe and the United States and professional actors and stuntmen.

We are the Rusk family. Kolby, 15, and Rylee 13 have been members of Kum Sung Karate TR for 4 years. What a transformation we have seen in both kids over this time. It has certainly been hard work and dedication for these two to earn and achieve their black belts( currently working toward their black-yellow belts).
Between the ages of 12 and 18 years of age, there are many changes in teens lives, both physical and emotional. This is an important time for them to weave the pattern of self-discipline and self respect both for themselves and others.

Even though the same martial art techniques are taught in the Teen classes along with Asian Culture and philosophy as in the other age groups, Teens have different requirements and this is taken into consideration in their training. At this age, more emphasis is put on speed, grace and strength while never losing sight of our main objective, to help each student be his or her best, adding direction and guidance to this important time of life.
This Class teaches self-defense for the every day world which can be learned using techniques appropriate even for non Martial Artists. This is the art of self-defense in which you use the opponents energy against themselves. Even though it is taught during the regular classes, this special session concentrates the entire lesson on this age old martial art form.
We now have a 4,000 sq foot Indoor Sports Center. No matter what the weather, sweltering heat or torrential rain, Kum Sung Camp has an indoor space for all the day's activities. No worries about your child being over heated or soaked in the rain or stuck in a cramped space. We have 4,000 sq feet to be active.

This place is great !!! The masters are outstanding and Grandmaster and his son are famous in the world of martial arts. Stop by and see the movies and tv shows they played in . My daughter and by bonus kids all go there and they learn great life lessons.

More of a philosophy than a martial arts program. The instruction took traditional Korean Martial Arts, customized and copyrighted it.  If you want to improve your child's self esteem and coordination, this program is a pretty good fit; if you are interested in fighting skills, look elsewhere or investigate Master Moon - a rogue instructor that repeatedly breaks the "rules".  Our favorite instructor is Master Matt. Belts are awarded by experience, rather than skill, although a "test" is required for each one. Prices are negotiated for each student, so they are never posted online. Belt testing

Went here for a 2 week free trial (4 classes) for my 2 year old son. Decided i liked it, purchased a groupon for 1 month of classes. Would not honor it because i already used 4 classes in my FREE TRIAL. So now my PAID groupon is no good? She tried saying that in the fine print, it was considered "combining offers" okay fine, then i showed them through my employer and company website, im supposed to have a certain deal as well. which again they didnt honor because it was old??? even though it clearly states NO EXPIRATION DATE. Then they tried to tell me its 160 dollars per month for 1

My sons have been doing karate since they were two years old and they absolutely love their instructors. This sport helped them gain strength and follow instructions better. Would highly recommend it to anyone.

We have been bringing our 2.5 year old for about 6 months. We started with the trial and he loved it. The instructors are great with the 2-3 year olds even though its like herding cats. Its a lot of fun to watch and we continue to enjoy bringing him. Everyone is very kind and helpful.
