Dr. Reyes Retana was born and raised in Laredo, TX, where she graduated from St. Augustine High School in 1998. Dr. Reyes Retana then proceeded to St. Mary's University here in San Antonio and achieved her Bachelors of Science in Biology with a minor in Chemistry in 2002. She then attended the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio and graduated with her D.D.S. in 2006.

A preventive program is a cooperative effort by the patient, dentist, and dental staff to preserve the natural dentition and supporting structures by preventing the onset, progress, and recurrence of dental diseases and conditions. A comprehensive dental exam will be performed by your dentist at your initial dental visit. Examination of diagnostic x-rays (radiographs): Essential for detection of decay, tumors, cysts, and bone loss. X-rays also help determine tooth and root positions. Oral cancer screening: Check the face, neck, lips, tongue, throat, tissues, and gums for any signs of oral cancer.
Dental radiographs (x-rays) are essential, preventative, diagnostic tools that provide valuable information not visible during a regular dental exam. Dentists and dental hygienists use this information to safely and accurately detect hidden dental abnormalities and complete an accurate treatment plan.

I wouldn’t recommend this dentist to anyone , i got my
Tooth filling a few weeks ago and i have been uncomfortable since . I told the lady my teeth feel weird when i bite down she said it’s because my mouth is numb . Hours to by and it’s still feeling

Because she shaped my tooth down to far and to top it off it’s sensitive to anything i eat or anything that touches it . I spent my last getting this tooth fixed now i have to suffer til i can either find more money to get another better dentist to look at it and see if there’s anything

Let me share my experience over the phone with one of the ladies... I called to cancel the appointment because of the threatening email I received saying there will be a $50.00 charge for not following procedures... I addressed the issue to the person that picked up the phone call, she just said "ajá", well that's the policy that you have to follow... I mean... really? Called the week of the 21st no answer from office. Called a week later it was mentioned by receptionist that they were closed due to upgrade repairs. No mention of it on website. Receptionist was subpar per usual no matter the person(s). I have 3 people in my family needing appointments with work needed and mentioned earliest available not till august sometime.the receptionist calls back later in the day about the the inquiry made online as well during the same week I called which didn’t even recognize I spoke to her earlier that day smh. My whole family attends this company for 14yrs or so but

Dr. Reyes & her staff are prestigious. From the moment you book an appointment with them, you know you are in great hands. I had a procedure done by Dr. Reyes last year and when my insurance changed I had to find another dentist. I can not tell you how sad I was to leave. I had been to another dental clinic and was given an incorrect and expensive diagnosis, so grateful I got a second opinion! I have read several of the reviews posted, and I agree with everyone that gave 5stars. By far, the best Dental experience in my 50+ yrs. From setting the appt.to having my extraction. I cannot Express my appreciation for the staff,and the young lady that pulled my tooth. The professional, courteous, and comfortable attitudes left me feeling a ease. My fear for the dentist is so extreme that even just the smell gives me anxiety and I start to cry uncontrollably, but ever since I started coming to Deerfield Dental, I no longer have that fear. Such a friendly and comforting staff. They understand and won't make you feel like you are just over reacting. Deerfield Dental is the ONLY dentist for me.
