Services
Hillview Preschool prides itself on a program that is designed for the age group served, and implemented with attention to the needs of and differences among individual students. Our program provides a safe and nurturing environment that promotes the physical, social, emotional, and cognitive development of children, while responding to the needs of families.
Three is a transitional age. Our teachers help three year olds with this transition by establishing nurturing beginning relationships, offering opportunities to gain self-help skills, and providing a safe, comfortable environment for learning and parallel play in a small group. Beginning fine motor skills (painting, cutting, gluing, etc.) are a major part of the 3-year-old program.
Children get the opportunity for large motor play outdoors on our safe, fenced playground that is located in a protected area away from major streets. If weather is inclement, the children will play indoors in the multi-purpose room which is large enough to allow for balls, scooters, parachute, etc.
