Pride Martial Arts
Martial Arts has made such a powerful and positive impact on our lives. We are dedicated to sharing this amazing sport, art, and lifestyle with families that share the same vision. Pride Martial Arts transcends the typical "just something you do" solution for you and your family. We are excited and committed to communicating and demonstrating true life skills to your children; skills that will benefit them far beyond the walls of this school.

These lessons are of the spirit of Respect, Integrity, Perseverance, Honor, Attitude, Loyalty, and Courtesy~ fundamentals that we hold true. All of our life skills form the bedrock of traditional martial arts. These values set us apart from any other sport or activity and define what it means to be a martial artist.

My 6 year old daughter started going to Pride about a month ago and we just love it! Staff is professional. Classes start on time. Huge amount of people and kids coming to learn. They keep it all safe with mask wearing and taking temperature before entering the class.
I can't say enough good things about it.
And make it all worth it.
The instructors are fantastic! Mr. Lara is one of the best. He keeps the little ones totally engaged from beginning to end. He is super energetic and loves what he does.
I've been trying to find a place for myself to practice Aikido, but now I am seriously considering

We are very pleased to be part of the Pride Martial Arts family! The growth we have seen in our kids since they started is very noticeable. From respect, commitment, leadership, and athleticism, this is an institution that delivers on their promise.

We started during the pandemic as a new activity for the kids to try out and see if they liked it, as there were not a lot of things for children to do during lockdown. They had the option of Zoom classes, so that was a nice start for our kids, as well as reassuring for us as parents.

Once in-person classes began, the preparedness and cleanliness

Great place for young people to receive high quality martial arts training. Instructors are very professional and patient. With that said, parents should understand that this is a training place, not a babysitting playground. Kids learn respect, self-control as well as exercising their bodies and minds in a healthy way with the positive attitude. Highly recommended!

This is hands down the best dojo not just in Eastlake but in the San Diego area! The owners are very professional, understanding and supportive not just of our child’s taekwondo goals but also goals in all aspects of life. They take the time to help the kids get motivated especially when they are experiencing some difficult times. When our daughter was starting kindergarten, she was having adjustment issues and was crying everyday in school. Senior Master Berry noticed that something was off when we came to the dojo one time and he offered to help by having a private lesson with Audrey to

I cannot say enough amazing things about Pride and their phenomenal staff! Our daughter has struggled with self confidence and finding something that she truly loves doing until now.
When we first walked into Pride she was so nervous and scared of trying something new. One of the first people we met was her new instructor Mr Lara and his presence and demeanor instantly calmed her and turned her nervousness into excitement. She went in for her assessment and I have never seen her so focused and driven in her entire life!! This transferred over into her class right after that where she was eager

My 3 year old and I went in for a trial class Wed. 14th, 5:30pm. It was my daughters first class and we were excited! From entering the building everyone was very friendly, professional and respectful. My daughter had a one on one 15 minute intro training with a coach, (I do not recall her name) and she did excellent! However, when class started and other kids entered the room, the male instructor seemed unprepared to handle my toddler. Being my daughters first class, she was excited and hyped up and had a hard time following instructions a couple minutes into class. The instructor took her by

I highly recommend Pride Martial Arts! Both my boy and girl have so much fun. Every class is a good workout and they teach the moves I would expect. Every single instructor talks about positive messages Throughout the class every time. Self-confidence, respect for yourself And others, self discipline… I am a bit ocd about what I expect from my children’s classes and getting what I paid for. Pride Martial Arts delivers!!

Both of my daughters have attended Pride and I am so happy to have found such an awesome studio. The staff is so friendly and helpful, you immediately feel welcomed. Ms. Grippo made the enrollment nice and smooth, my daughters felt comfortable starting this new journey.

Ever since we have started attending Pride I have noticed that my daughter is more confident and she tries to implement the things she learns in class at home.

I love that they have the Tigers club for the younger children, the different belts associated with a different animal keeps them encouraged.

My daughter does not like sports in any way but she loves it here!! I especially enjoy that through the pandemic they found way to teach the kids. As a parent I feel safe my kid going here they go above and beyond on sanitation and making sure to follow guidelines. Place is great in my opinion and staff is super nice!

Our kids have been training at Pride for years! We continue to be impressed at their dedication to our children's growth both in and outside of the dojo. Our children have learned not only martial arts, but also grown in confidence, self esteem and leadership. Here, they are surrounded by leaders and positive role models. We are very thankful for their influence and would highly recommend!

Our daughter, Audrey started Tae Kwon Do back in July of 2018. It's the only extra-curricular activity that she stuck with! The instructors are inspiring and very patient with the kids! They break down the routine into something that kids will remember and follow.

When our daughter started Kindergarten, she had a rough time adjusting and Master Berry offered a private lesson to help boost her self-confidence! It definitely worked! She has been constantly commended by her teachers and parents for her overall achievements in and out of the classroom. Her focus for a 6-yr old is truly impressive

I truly appreciate what Pride Martial Arts has been doing for our community. They are very dedicated in what they do. My daughter has been with them for quite some time now and I can truly see the positive impact they've had on her.

Also, amidst the pandemic the world is facing now, they continue to be a bright spot in the community. They have found ways to stay engaged with the kids. My wife and I are very grateful for them and I'm sure a lot of parents are. My daughter has been doing the online training everyday and it has helped her stay active and healthy.

I firmly believe our community

We have been a member of the Pride family for seven years. Today our child became a Second Degree Black Belt. The pride in Pride Martial Arts is real. You get what you pay for and with Pride it is first class!!! Yes I could of bought a new car after paying tuition for seven years but new cars don't last forever. The skills Sean teaches to his students last a lifetime. His patience and his pride in each of his pupils is real . He is a world class instructor and person both on and off the mat. He , his mother , and his partner all believe in what they do. Therefore the students do as well. Thank

Pride Martial Arts is one of the most professional school in the area. The owners, Master Berry and his wife, Ms. Ahn are top tier instructors with their energy, charisma and knowledge. Both are multiple time World champions, but more importantly have created multiple Champion students. If you’re looking for a school that will treat you right and train you right, look no further, you’ve already found it.

I rarely take the time to go on line and write a review (being a busy Mom-on-the-run I usually do word of mouth publicity if I like something ) but this time I feel with all my heart that I need to write this for all the parents that might be wondering and procrastinating and might hold off because of the costs they see on paper...and might think of trying other schools first.. I know I did all that.
I can assure you that this school and all the classes and programs they offer, the instructors and the way they teach our kids are totally worth what you pay ( and even more actually!) There is no

My daughter is 3 and loves Karate thanks to Pride Martial Arts.

I really have nothing negative to say about this dojo.

Pride Martial Arts offers a great reward system which is designed to positively reward positive behavior from children both at home and in class.

Their instructors and staff have great attitudes and help accommodate all busy work schedules. I believe they go above and beyond to retain a student and to me that is gold.

My daughter has been a student here for the last 3 months and loves it.

Highly recommend Pride Martial Arts to anyone.

The first couple times we took our son, I would see parents bowing together with their kids as they walked in. I thought it was odd, even silly, since the parents are not students there.

After many classes and seeing the values and life skills you are teaching our kids, I bow too, in respect and admiration.

I have no issues with the martial arts program; it's great. The instructors are really nice and good with kids.

HOWEVER, Have you ever tried to call this place? Well, good luck with getting someone to answer the phone. 100% of the my calls were answered by the answering machine. I've had to leave 2-3 voicemails for any time I called as well as send follow up emails for things as a reminder. Only once did I ever receive a return call and that was 2 days after the fact! The ladies working at the front are nice but it always seemed like they were understaffed.

My daughter initially tried soccer and swimming but lost interest after a couple of months. We passed by Pride Martial Arts after a swimming class and she expressed interest in learning Tae Kwon Do. The staff and instructors are professionals, friendly, and knowledgeable. Their facilities are awesome and very clean. They have 3 modern training rooms and a lounge area where parents can watch their kids (with Wi-Fi).
That was two years ago. My daughter now enthusiastically attends class 3-4 times a week. Tae Kwon Do has kept her focused, motivated and fit. Pride Martial Arts is highly recommended

We live in the Otay Ranch/Eastlake area and wanted a school close to home for our 6-year-old son. We looked at different martial arts styles and schools in the South Bay, and eventually decided to give Pride Martial Arts a try. Why? For starters, our son's journey into martial arts was going to be about HIM and he showed a real excitement with this particular school, that's what we wanted to see from him, so that was the deciding factor above the other schools. That excitement stemmed from the passion of the instructors, the familiar faces from his school, the sense of community, the

This is actually my second review for Pride Martial Arts. My girls and I started off with Pride 6 years ago and I wrote a review back then. I deleted it since I was just beginning my taekwondo journey I really didn't have much credence to what I was writing and no clue (especially with the kids) of how long we would last. Flash forward to present time. I just recently tested for my 3rd Degree Black Belt and the girls earned their 2nd Degree last winter. I think it is safe to say that I have a clue.

The heart and soul of Pride Martial Arts is Master Instructor, Master Sean Berry (6th Degree
