At BDMA's, our primary goal is to create "Champions in Life" and the in the martial arts. We are dedicated to bringing the best out of our students. In addition, besides learning martial art skills, we strive to improve a students SELF-CONFIDENCE and SELF-ESTEEM, while teaching them DISCIPLINE, FOCUS, RESPECT, and SELF-CONTROL.
We don't teach kids how to kick and punch so they can go down the street and beat up the neighbor's kid. Instead, we teach kids self-defense as a tool for personal growth and development. Kids learn to treat others as they want to be treated. They learn to respect all living things - from their parents to pets.

I am 77 years old and have 10 years of experience in Shotokan Karate and took my Black Belt when I was 50. After a 27 year absence from training I joined the Blue Dragon class as a way of toning old muscles and as an aid to weight control, but what I found was totally different.
I cannot begin to list all of the "new" techniques I am learning to add to my Karate arsenal - footwork, boxing and punching techniques, kicking techniques, forearm techniques, and lots and lots of defense techniques to name but a few. If you are looking for a great and safe place for your kids (and yourself) to learn Martial Arts, please check out Blue Dragon Martial Arts school. My daughter, and her cousins have been going to Blue Dragon for several years now, starting out as white belts and now Red/Black belts, and also helping lead the Demo/Competition team.
First of all, the Sensie’s are amazing. Sensie Tony and Daniel are very caring, trustworthy, and very knowledgeable in the field of Martial Arts. They not only teach Takewondo, Muay Thai, Boxing, Jiu Jitsu, Kung fu (to name a few) but they also teach SELF-CONFIDENCE

My kids love this place and have really thrived since starting in mid-February. We have tried a few other martial arts places, but it wasn't until we finally gave Blue Dragon a try did they really take to it.
Before we signed up here and I told my boys I was going to sign them up for martial arts again and they said they only wanted to go once or twice a week. After starting, there is hardly a week that goes by that we're not there at least four times a week.
All the instructors are great and we appreciate the values instilled along with the training and fun the kids get to experience. Definitely

My son has been studying at Blue Dragon since he was 4 years old and he's not going on 10 years old. He is a Red /black stripe belt and he is now getting ready to test for his junior Black belt . He loves every min ! Sensei Daniel is an awesome instructor, very patient and throughout with all the students. He makes sure they are absolutely ready to test for their next belt before the day comes. I would recommend this dojo if you are looking to teach your child self discipline and respect. They are huge on respect towards everyone and being an example in every way .

My daughter who is 6 has been with Blue dragons for over 1 year now and my son who is 15 has been with them for 9 months. They both enjoy attending their classes on a daily basis and try not to miss classes. The instructors are wonderful. They know how to interact with all different age groups. We love coming here. The facility's are always clean and instructors are friendly. I recommend Blue Dragons to all my friends and people I may have conversations with about martial arts.

I was recommended to check out this dojo and Master Tony for my son by his kindergarten speech therapist! She said he has a pediatric occupational therapy background and he is great with kids! My son started and never gave up, 5th grader now that earned his Black Belt! I'm so proud of him and he is very thankful for his sensei that believed in him and taught him with patience and fun! It is truly amazing to think back and see pictures of my son at age 6 and to watch him now during belt testing! I highly recommend Blue Dragon MMA!

Our son started at Blue Dragon MMA when he was 6 and has been there for nearly 2 years now. We were hesitant at first to sign him up because he can be very shy and sensitive and he's not aggressive at all. However, Master Tony and his instructors are very good with the kids and made him feel comfortable. Because this is an MMA dojo, kids have the opportunity to learn various martial arts including Taekwondo, Jujitsu, sparring, etc., all of which we feel have real world applicability. Another bonus is that Master Tony gives kids the opportunity to participate in tournaments by joining the Demo/Competition

Blue Dragons Marshal Arts by Sensei Tony Caravelli is the best marshall arts school in Eastern Chula Vista. We have three sons and one has already completed his black belt and BDMA contributed a lot to him being an excellent student and athlete in high school and college. We have two more sons who are entering their 3rd year, who love every class and cant wait to get thei black belts. The lessons are challenging but also fun and we have seen so many kids grow and develop to their fullest potential. As an experienced martial artist myself, I was looking for a quality academy for myself and my two kids in the Chula Vista area. I checked out about 5 other schools in the area. After doing much research, Blue Dragon's was hands down the most qualified and offer the best "BANG FOR THE BUCK". My kids and I love it there.
