OCEAN CLUB SALAD - Hearts of Romaine tossed in our house Caesar dressing and shaved Reggiano cheese. Grouper Pontchartrain - sauteed grouper topped with fried Louisiana soft-shell crab, toasted almonds, pecans and our house sauces. Veal Oscar - medallions of veal sauteed, served over pasta topped with lump crabmeat and crawfish tails.

MORONS own/run this place. The chef is no better. We went on thanksgiving at 6:30 and were told they were out of salads and baked potatoes. REALLY??? at 6:30??? Looking at the menu almost EVERYTHING came with a salad - a choice of Waldorf salad or some other salad, potato and green bean casserole. We asked if we could sub a veggie since there were no salads. We were told CHEF won't substitute.LOL really?? Chef wont substitute? I will tell you right now i dont like CHEFs like this bc I own a very successful restaurant and its bc we do what the customer wants not what egomaniac CHEF wants.

We heard this restaurant was very good but we are disappointed and won’t dine there again. The service was good but the food was very overpriced for the quality. The best part of the meal was the rolls and salad, so that speaks volumes. We ordered their signature dish The Grouper Ocean Club - ordered it sautéed style - the sauce on the grouper wasn’t very good so that ruined the seemingly good seafood. The green beans were over cooked and not very good. The rice was terrible. There are far better restaurants in the area for the same price. Not sure how this place has such a good reputation

We dined here for the first time last week on 10/18/21 during our visit back home. I grew up in Destin yet have have never eaten at Ocean Club before. It’s not flashy inside, though they have a giant fish hanging over the bar, but it is upscale. Attire is dressy/business casual.
We were able to call ahead and make reservations, which was very nice since many restaurants in the area are not accepting reservations. We were seated immediately after arriving by the large fish tank at a table smaller than I would have liked for two people. I guess it’s meant to be intimate. Lauryn was our server

Server was friendly in the sense that he kept wanting to have random conversations with us but completely ignored/ instantly forgot being told it was my mom’s 50th birthday! We even had her order a dessert right after he was told so she could be celebrated and wasn’t (which based on reading other reviews has happened before). As someone who has experienced this myself it was heartbreaking and embarrassing. The server also forgot my drink that he had recommended to me for dessert. Food was also quite expensive for very little quantity or quality.

First sat at bar waiting for friend and combined with knowledgeable bartender, got to listen to an energetic keyboard player / singer belting out some dance tunes. Some folks were dancing!
Dinner seating out on "porch" Everyone was sad that their "wetlands / pond" was being filled in. They used to enjoy the waterfowl, turtles, etc.
Those developing Destin by clearing / filling and "beautifying" are not doing so in the best interests of Florida.

I chose this restaurant to celebrate my girlfriend’s birthday, having never been. Based on the reviews, pictures and price point I though that it would be comparable to several of the other restaurants in the area that we frequent for such occasions.
My biggest complaint would be the server that we had. He rushed through the menu, only mentioning the soup of the day and catch of the day. However, the party of 6 next to us received a lengthy explanation of the best dishes, recommendations and mild customary conversation. The atmosphere was nice and inside looked upscale. Waiter was attentive and service was very good. The food was overall pretty good except for our steaks were undercooked. I know medium well sometimes can be more pink than expected, but ours were red. The waiter took back our steaks and brought them back well done and dry. Normally, the restaurant handles it by a discount or even comp the dish, but they only offered to replace the dish. The manager didn't even come out to try to fix things. We didn't have time to wait for another order. Didn't make any big deal out of it, just not going back.

My husband and I booked a reservation here for our 5th anniversary celebration. We don't usually go to places this fancy but I think we made the right choice! The food was delicious. Ilsa, our waitress, was very attentive, sweet and prompt. We would definitely choose this restaurant again for our next special occasion in Destin.

This review is to get the owner's attention...actually anyone who works at the OC's attention. We had reservations for 6:30 to celebrate 30 years of marriage. Upon arriving on time, we were promptly seated. For a Tuesday, it seemed busy...maybe 50% to 75% is my best guess. After sitting 15 minutes our waiter poured water and took our orders, which included a bottle of wine. That was the last time he visited our table. By 7:15 with no wine, no bread or anything (and water glass now empty), I got up and found the waiter. I told him that we'd been sitting for close to an hour

White tablecloths, live fish tanks as decor, waiters in ties who are knowledgeable about the menu and types of fish served, good sauces to complement and enhance the flavor of entrees, well seasoned side items and delicious deserts. This place does an excellent job overall with
1. a nice ambience and
2. very good food plus
3. good service
We will eat here again. We may opt for the 5-6 p.m. Happy Hour when entrees are BOGO because it is a touch on the expensive side. They also have live music on Wed, Fri and Sat nights.

We just had a wonderful experience at the Ocean Club restaurant in Miramar, FL. It was already one of my favorite restaurants in the area and we had a small family wedding there this past Saturday. From working with Vicki over the phone, being socially distanced in a lovely private room, having the most delicious appetizers, entrees and drinks as well as two of the best servers who went over and above what our needs were; our evening was a huge success. They were awesome!! Do not pass up having a meal at the Ocean Club whether you live in the area or are just visiting. You won't regret it

This is comparable to walking into the Overlook Hotel dining room in a Stephen King novel. Older crowd with a dinner theater atmosphere. Singer located on the stage playing oldies but goodies. Double teamed by a waitstaff that were trained in close talking without face masks. Martinis were made wrong and rather than remake them, they brought ingredients fir US to add. Came for the fried lobster tail which is a delicacy in NE. This was not. A fried whole tail with practically NO seasoning at all. Thank god for the drawn butter. Fish entree was so so as well. Prices not deserving of prices and staff

So glad this place is still going strong! My boyfriend and I had a lovely experience with Michael S. As our waiter. He truly gave great service through the entire experience. He really took the time to make us feel special and even gave us bread to feed the fish/turtles outside. So happy we got to visit this place before heading back home. Thanks Michael!

Part 1.... ownership....we actually witnessed the owner berate a family over their infant child who dropped food in the floor. Justifying to himself that others could see it which would harm the image. Believe me, this place is by no means pristine. So, the meal started tough watching an embarrassed mom fight tears then breaking down over the treatment.
Food 2.5 star.... just ok. Filet was the grade of sirloin. We had 3 filets and all were pretty low quality meat with heavy char flavour. Price was just $38 so maybe that makes sense. The meat

Excellent sea food, pasta, and steaks. We had such a great time here. Everyone was very careful about wearing gloves and opened the doors for us.
The food is still amazing. I love the crab cakes and asparagus for an appetizer and the Grouper Almandine for the main entree.
Our server was Sean who is always friendly and helpful.
Definitely recommend this wonderful restaurant and bar for the beautiful atmosphere, wonderful and friendly staff, and excellent food.
