Most of the food we ordered today was terrible and overpriced. The desert tres leches cake used to be amazing and it was terrible it was so dry!!! The quality of the food has went down drastically from when we ate there previously and they lost our business. My husband even spoke to the manager about it. Also taco Tuesday was a joke… the tacos are like a street vendor taco very tiny & small & way over priced for what you get (Not even good) One tiny street taco was five dollars and it was dry and reheated steak and it was so disgusting I could not eat it. We used to love it here but seems they

Service was great and I did like the chips and salsa. However I thought the beef burrito was unseasoned and very dry. The rice was fine but beans were not what I expected. Again it was just an ok meal tonight. I think the prices are a little steeper than most Mexican restaurants.

My husband and I have visited Mezcal many times and we are big fans! The atmosphere is very inviting, the food is much higher quality than your average Mexican restaurant in the area, and the service is friendly. We are locals who are new to Destin/Miramar and have quickly made this one of our go-to spots. However, be advised that it is pricey for the portion sizes but you get what you pay for! Considering the location it's in, the prices are about par for the course. It can also be tricky to snag a table at Mezcal if you're visiting during the high season but again, this is to be expected

We had a yummy meal here (outdoors) on our trip a few weeks ago. I really enjoyed my fajita chimichanga (stuffed with grilled veggies and meat of your choice), which was crispy and flavorful. My husband was happy with his fajitas. The free chips they give you are also excellent. Our waitress Sofia was great, and really sweet to my daughter.

We decided to try Mezcal due to the good reviews but forgot the extremely important lesson, places near the beach that serve cheap alcohol a margaritas get stars from tourists who don't know better. The only good thing about this visit was the sweet waitress who tried to make up for our bad experience.

1) The chips they served us were obviously used at someone else's table, as they were all broken up and had dried salsa stains all over the chips (GROSS! See pic)

2) Waitress couldn't speak English. She had a difficult time understanding simple words like beans, cheese, nachos

I’d give it a 4 star on the food and five stars because of how personal our server was and because of how fast they were. Now granted, we were there on a Monday night but our food came out in about 7 min. The chips and salsa were really good. The chips had a great crunch and salsa was smooth and flavorful. We got the Banderas Enchiladas and some mini chimichangas. Both were very good. Rice and beans were typical - needed more flavor. Most popular is the shrimp stuffed poblano but wasn’t feeling it. Definitely would return

Check your Bill!! Ordered Happy Hour domestic beer. Was charged regular price, said beer I had was not domestic (it was), I asked why she didn't tell me, she just giggled... Ordered 3 happy hour tacos, was charged for 6. When brought to servers attention she did correct bill. The tacos were tasteless.
Another person in our party ordered a taco salad. The taco meat was cold and salad was tasteless. Server did say she would take back to kitchen but said no as I did not want to hold up the others in my party.
I will not go back to this restaurant.

Our group stopped by for dinner while visiting Destin. We were a party of 5 and got seated immediately upon walking in. Very relaxing atmosphere, full bar, outside seating, hand made cocktails and margaritas, TV's if you're wanting to watch a game while you're dining in.

Our group skipped out on drinks. We got two orders of their queso to go along with their salsa. The salsa was pretty good. It had a slight kick and a more unique flavor but was good. The queso also had a bit of a kick, but was also very delicious.

4 of us got a variation of their tacos with beans and rice on

I don't give a lot of five-star reviews, but in this case I think it's well deserved. Nice blend of authentic and Tex Mex options, along with fresh homemade chips and possibly the best salsa I've ever had! The decor was has some old world touches that fit with the menu. There are east facing tables with umbrellas outside, as well as seating at the bar. Prices were inline with the tourist laden Miramar/Destin area, but the ample portion sizes made for a good value.

This place has outstanding chips and salsa. Sitting outside on a pleasant evening was great. It wasn't very crowded on a night when a lot of other nearby places had a wait. My entree, Camarones Miramar, was disappointingly dry. I wouldn't order it again.

Good food, friendly staff!
The margarita was delicious. We also enjoyed the guacamole and salsa. Learn from my mistake: if you're looking to have the parrillada (for 2 people) make sure you SPECIFY that you're looking to split it with the other person, otherwise they'll charge you for TWO of them!

The food is excellent. I had the Al pastor tacos and my husband had the pork belly. Both were delicious. The queso was great and the salsa was some of the best we've had. The prices seemed little high but you get what you pay for and the portions were huge. We could definitely tell the food was higher quality. I'll say the service was a bit slow but honestly, it is everywhere right now so I would never deduct for not being able to find people to work.

Pros:
1) Salsa and guacamole really good and flavorful - better than the majority of Oklahoman and Texan Mexican Restaurant salsas
2) Fair amount of seating
3) Alright prices (for Destin)
4) Brisket tacos are really good, enchilada sauce aftertaste is pleasant and a good experience overall, the pork carnitas tacos are serviceable but get the brisket
5) Taco meals are well proportioned (not too little not too much)
Cons:
1) In my opinion rice and beans are fairly bland, but some of us disagree about my opinion regarding the rice - they like it’s floofiness and somewhat mild but deep flavor

The first place we stopped in Miramar Beach. We sat st the bar rather than waiting for a table. They were cutting lemons and juicing them right behind the bar. We order a couple beers and read over the menu, I ordered some wings to just get started while we looked over the menu. The person behind the bar started moving the lemons in a bowl, then sat them down because she realized the bar had lemon pulp slung all over it. When she wiped the bar everything fell right into the lemons being juiced. Then we got the wings, the pictures are of the carrots and celery the served with it.
We left.

I would say it's average. The chicken isn't dry and food doesn't taste bad. It would not be my go to place for Mexican as it was less authentic. They have tacos BUT no corn tortilla. The men's bathroom was very bad according to my brother. The margarita is worth the price. It's huge.

Mezcal did a wonderful job for my dad's wedding reception and rehearsal. Food was wonderful and the waiters did an awesome job. They were busy both nights outside of our wedding group. I can tell this is popular spot. Chicken Fajitas were bomb! Highly recommend Mezcal's🤙 Thanks

We arrived about 20-30 minutes before closing just hungry and grateful for a short wait time. 5 minutes later we were seated outside. If it wasn't so dark outside there would have been some nice views of the bay and a large open area for kids to play and run some energy out. Our service was nice and timely. It took less than 10 minutes for our appetizer and food to come out which was perfect for us. I had a glass of sangria that definitely hit the spot and wasn't too sweet. These are the highlights of the visit. The food was bland. I ordered the steak burrito bowl. The steak was a bit

This was an initial trip to Mezcal Mexican Grill.
There is an extensive menu with a choice of indoor or outdoor seating. Today was a sunny day, in the mid-70's and there are umbrellas for each outside table. We ate outside.
The margarita was very good. They are a little more expensive than in some other neighborhood restaurants but there was choice of ingredients with some of them.
For lunch, I had the classic tacos, two beef and one chicken with soft shells. Both were very good. The beef was not well done which was a little unusual but both tasted great.
The dish also came with yellow rice

We got seated outside (5 of us), the chairs were a little damp from some rain but the ambiance was nice. Our waiter was attentive and gave us suggestions of where to to for nightlife in the area.

My friend and I split the shrimp fajitas, the shrimp was fresh and the flavor was great! We also got their white queso which we all loved. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed their meal. We thought the $1 margs were everyday but that's okay, still enjoyed the food nonetheless!

COVID- plenty of outdoor seating with umbrella. Inside of restaurant is spacious with tall ceilings.

DRINKS- fantastic. Really delicious.

FOOD- sadly awful. I was wary once they brought out the salsa with chips and salsa tasted so bland. I order ceviche which was awful. It looks like the shrimp was boiled before being mixed in a general pico de Gallo salsa mix. I couldn't finished it. My friend got fajita and he said there was nothing wrong with that.

EXPERIENCE- serving was nice but she did spill red sangria in my friends shoes (which he was able to wipe off). I thought, no problem,

Cool atmosphere and a great deal on their $1 Margaritas! Free chips and salsa while you wait on your entrees!!
Only thing I think needs improvement is the queso... it was very runny like water or like it had been watered down significantly. Other than that pretty cool lace to hang out.

The server is really why we're giving five stars. The vibe was nice and food was REALLY good. They had a Valentine weekend special and it was fajitas for 2 with two margaritas and queso app and churro desert.
Everything was really really good.
The drinks were a little strong but I can see what they were trying to do hahahahahahaha
Good food, good romantic vibe, and good service.
