I had a wonderful experience selecting a couple beautiful outfits from her to wear to my friend's wedding! I've never worn traditional Indian attire, and Nisha was very helpful in showing me how to wrap a saree and lehenga properly. She fitted everything to me during our visit and I was able to leave with my outfits same-day. She is very skilled in her craft and I highly recommend visiting Taj Fashion!

Would love to come here again! I had to find an outfit to wear to an Indian wedding and have no knowledge of what is proper attire for a guest. She was incredibly easy to work with and made the process of finding something so lovely. She knew exactly what to put me in for the best look and fit and I can't wait to wear it. I'm also not a small person but never once felt uncomfortable or like it would be difficult to fit me.

I had a wonderful experience picking out a dress for a dear friend’s wedding. I’m 5’10” and a little on the heavy side so I was really apprehensive about what I would find to wear. Nisha was so kind and she had a dress in the color I was looking for and it fit me perfectly. Even the length!! I bought some beautiful jewelry and a detailed embroidered shawl to complete my outfit. I’m going to be really proud to wear my dress and looking forward to having lots of fun at the wedding!!

Nisha is amazing! My husband and i had been invited to an Indian wedding and needed help figuring out why to wear. Nisha was very welcoming to us and helped us find the perfect outfits within a very reasonable budget. She runs the shop out of her house, so you will need to call to set up an appointment.

Unlike the majority of my reviews, this one won't follow the pros and cons list since there simply are no cons.
I was invited to an extravagant Indian wedding celebration in Miami at the end of March. It was thankfully- yet unfortunately- canceled due to Covid-19, but I'm glad I at least walked away with an amazing experience at this North Austin business.
I was not aware that the shop is run out of owner Nisha's garage, so when I pulled up to the lovely suburban home one afternoon after visiting my parents, it spoke volumes that upon calling Nisha to see if she was available

Nisha was fantastic! She has a huge collection of gorgeous clothes at very reasonable prices. She knew my size and the right colors for me immediately without asking and I loved the outfits she suggested. She explained the correct ways to drape and wear the garments and helped my boyfriend pick out two outfits as well, which he loved. I'm very petite and she also offered to do my alterations! I highly recommend!

As a college student in Austin, I wasn't familiar with many Desi grocery stores or clothing places, so I came across Taj Fashion through Yelp. I had a South Asian event coming up but I didn't have the time to go back to Houston to get my Desi clothes, so I drove up to this location to purchase a new outfit!
Nisha is extremely nice and helpful. She has a wonderful collection of clothes and lots of knowledge on what looks good. She helped me pick this lehenga and altered it immediately too! The best part was that the price was reasonable too. I definitely recommend other college students

I LOVE Nisha and her collection of Indian clothing. Nisha really topped of this first-time experience with me. In running any business I believe it's VITAL to not only make the customer feel comfortable and confident but to also satisfy the customer and Nisha has accommodated me greatly. Although I had to go back to her a few times (which I wouldn't suggest doing) to reconsider colors for a friends wedding, she openly allowed me to trade blouses and sarees. She has really focused on making me happy over the profit she is making and for that reason I will continue to shop at Taj fashion

Together with my mom we purchased $1400 worth of clothing from Nisha. We paid full price for the items and stitching.
She promised they would all be ready in 2 weeks. However when the time came for final fitting she hesitated and requested a later pickup date despite knowing I was flying in to pick them up ( I live in SF). Even though we were disappointed, we worked with her schedule. We spent money to Uber to her house plus over an hour at her house. It appeared nothing had been prepared or altered ahead of time as promised. In addition, my moms outfits were not ready. Nisha was forced to drop

Nisha did an amazing job for my wedding rehearsal outfit and at family outfits and a great dress for henna night! She took her time and was very detailed, yet super fast and can do basic tailoring on the spot. On top of all that, she also sells decorations and accessories for desi events/people. She is patient and does not take advantage with her prices.

Nisha is the best. Literally came to her the morning of a wedding and she found me two outfits in an hour and I'm picky! I was a little skeptical when I saw that she runs the business out of her house but it was a really good experience. She's so friendly and fun. While I was trying on outfits she did henna on a little girl. It was gorgeous and only took her two minutes. I respect this woman's hustle. She's also pretty gifted at mixing and matching pieces and her prices are reasonable. Will be back!

Simply put, Nisha is amazing! My friend and I had never worn sarees before so we had no idea what to expect. However, Nisha made us feel right at home and found us beautiful sarees that fit in our budget. We received many compliments on them at the Sangeet we attended. It was suggested that we call ahead and make an appointment and I'm so glad that we did. I could see where it could get a bit chaotic if there were other groups in there at the same time.
